Secretary Rumsfeld gave a speech to the V.F.W. and said that Democrats, “Just do not get it!” Well I believe one should never look at both sides of the issue! Why? Because that presumes there are only two choices! Rumsfeld went on to talk tough and state how our nation should act tough. I AGREE but Iraq is not the battlefield in the war on terror! I admit I was duped by Bush and his fellow travelers into believing in Iraqi WMD. Perhaps a show of “shock and awe” was needed to impress North Korea and Iran to stop their nuclear programs. In that light we should have declared our purpose to be the removal of the Baath dictatorship of Hussein, install a puppet general. Then declare MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! Instead we got sidetracked. By not being decisive and leaving a friendly general who gave platitudes to democracy, like Egypt, we lost the momentum. Now Bush is adding Hezbollah and Lebanon to the axis of evil. I think Rumsfeld has to get his priorities straight!

Our national security does not lie in small conventional kutusa rockets landing 25 miles into northern Israel (bad as that is) but rather with North Korea already having nuclear weapons and now developing and testing ICBM’s capable of traveling thousands of miles and hitting our homeland! I am afraid Bush and his fellow travelers need to be reminded exactly what is their homeland! Sometimes you have to wonder being that it is five years after 9-11 and our borders are wide open to terrorists!

Yet Bush and his fellow travelers control the Senate, the House of Representatives, the Supreme Court and of course the Presidency! Yet they make no effort to control our borders! Law officials in Texas are claiming the border is being violated by non-Mexicans who could be terrorists.

What does Bush do? He sends a mere 6,000 National Guard troops! If that number isn’t small enough they are not going to be stationed there for a full tour as in Iraq! Rather they will only serve their two week annual training. By the time they even pull the cactus needles out of their uniforms, it will be time for another group to take their place.

This after Bush tried to turn over our port operations to the United Arab Emirates! Then he says that liberals are racists since we would not be so critical if it were the British! Well just imagine if the British had their airports under the United Arab Emirates. Then the recent terror plot using liquid explosives might have succeeded! What is worse is that Bush gains in the polls thanks to the British being vigilant unlike Bush!

Again Rumsfeld and Bush seem to forget just what is the “homeland”.

• Not only do they worry more about Katusa rockets in northern Israel then North Korea with nuclear missiles aimed at us.
• They worry about Iraq while North Korea could also give these weapons to terrorists. But Rumsfeld wants to engage in a social engineering experiment in Iraq. No doubt the great democratic bastions of the Islamic world such as Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Egypt and of course the ever democratic Sudan all back us in Iraq. You may have heard of the Sudan. The nice folks who are waging genocide against the Christians but no one seems to give a damn!
• Bush and Rumsfeld favor the wholesale transfer of capital, technology and jobs out from “OUR” Homeland to foreign lands by companies that now CUT AND RUN from their American identity! That is ok for Rumsfeld, as he and his fellow travelers profit from this divestiture of identity from our American Homeland!
• They would turn over our port operations to the United Arab Emirates. You know the nice country that could have prevented the centrifuges from leaving their ports in transit to Pakistan before they developed the bomb!

Just who is going to benefit from this “Crusade for Democracy!” in Iraq? Can you imagine what would happen if elections where held in Saudi Arabia? They just do not get it!

Democracy does NOT EQUAL Defeat of Islamic Fundamentalism!

Defeat of Islamic Fundamentalism = Acceptance of Democracy AND Secular Liberalism! By the way I am an Anglican not an atheist.

Hey remember the lessons of Iran with Jimmy Carter! The conservatives where the ones who chastised us liberal democrats for not understanding reality. Now the situation is reversed! Rumsfeld is right in that kicking some butt was needed. But we did that so now lets GET THE HELL OUT – MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! Ok we can hang Saddam Hussein first then go! But we have bigger fish to fry! Let the Christian fundamentalists go to hell! We need stem cell research and they should be condemning the genocide of Christians in the Sudan rather than usurping the government to enable the “second coming!” We cannot establish democracy without secular liberalism. The war already cost us over 310 billion.

We cannot establish a democracy with secular liberalism in Iraq because it would require a complete occupation of the Muslim world. We would need a return of the draft! Is that the price we are willing to pay and for what country’s security! Certainly not our homeland’s security when:

• Our ports are attempted to be sold to the U.A.E.
• Port containers are not examined for nuclear materials.
• When our borders go unguarded.
• Cargo in commercial flights is not inspected.
• When our technology, capital and jobs are sent out from the homeland to profit Bush’s fellow travelers!
• Our troops die in Afghanistan yet their biggest crop is opium!

We never had enough troops in either Iraq or Afghanistan if our goal were to set up secular liberal democratic nations. The war against Afghanistan at least was against the terrorists. To bad the opium is still going to flow into America’s inner cities. To bad the poor will face drug terrorism! But then again the Republicans can profit from using crime as an issue. The problem is that we democrats let them do this and even sometimes play right into their hands!

The time has come for the Silent Majority to stand up and be counted! America’s Middle Class, and those who aspire to be, must demand our government be not only decisive but also be decisive on the right battlefield.

As I mentioned in a prior post concerning the Karr – Ramsey case, liberals have a point in terms of letting the judicial process play out before accepting a “defendant’s” guilt or innocence.

From the right wing we hear language such as “the rights of the victim vs. the rights of the criminal”. The problem is that without a conviction we are dealing with a “defendant” not a criminal!

Today the case against Karr was dropped. Remember this guy even confessed to the crime! He may be weird, he may have other legal problems. Yet even with a confession that does not prove him guilty of the Ramsey Crime without a proper trial. Armed with new methods of DNA identification the prosecutor’s office has determined his DNA does not match! Naturally it would have been nice if they ran a DNA test first! But what the hell who says incompetence has to be limited to just the federal govenment?

As I mentioned before what would have happened if some detective decided to engage in some “evidence enhancement”? Some would say “oh maybe so but the guy confessed”! Well this case proves that people can confess for psychological reasons even apart from being intimidated! Therefore I believe that if the evidence is tampered with the case should be dropped. We pay a far higher price if we allow the police to become our judges! That would be a “police state”! We have to follow the law. Liberals may allow some real criminals to escape justice but that is the price we pay for a democratic judicial system. However PC liberals go to far the other way.

• • My problem with PC liberals is what about those who are convicted and really are criminals.
  • What about our streets where justice has cut and run leaving the elderly to be prisoners in their own homes due to fear of street crime.
  • Why would PC Liberals condemn GI Joe action figures as a youth role model and pooh pooh rap music’s frequent glorification of crime?
  • What type of role models is this krap music creating for our young? Oh dear me now I did it!

Lets throw out the orthodoxy of the right wing along with the new orthodoxy of “political correctness”. Time for the Silent Majority, America’s great middle class and those who aspire to be, to stand up and reclaim America!

Well I am just in shock today so I will depart from my regular political blogging to mourn the death of something dear from my hippie past. Yes folks “Pluto” (and it is still in caps on this blog) is dead. This is an attack on our core American Values. In every grammar school in America we learned about and admired the FEISTY little ninth planet, that while alone at the edge of our solar system, and having the longest orbit of all around our sun was a gosh darn role model for all of us growing up back then!

• Pluto chugged along with the hand it was dealt by fate even though it is the 9th and last planet!
• Pluto never collapsing while chugging past the big planets of the outer solar system!
• Yes PLUTO: THE FEISTY LITTLE PLANET THAT COULD! A role model for Beaver Cleaver then and for all true red blooded Americans today!

But alas there are evil cynical forces at work today in this world of “anomie”!

Obviously this must be a dastardly conspiracy by the French Academy of Science! (Leave it to the French). For God’s sake think of all the horoscopes that are now going to have to be redrawn! Mother Goddess protect us, are we still entering the Aquarian Age or does this mean New Age Aquarian spirituality is being undermined by the secular atheistic French!

Even though the astronomers convened in Prague this has got to be a FRENCH CONSPIRACY! The wimps! In this world of angst where our youth lack roots and the evil metric system continues to undermine the Ozzy and Harriet world I was raised in, even the French loose out (the wimps) because one lesson is clear:

PLUTO: IN A FRIGID WORLD SIZE DOES MATTER!

• They may have taken Fahrenheit away from us but lets not let the French and Europeans take PLUTO!
• DEATH TO THE METRIC SYSTEM!
• STAND UP FOR AMERICA!
• STAND UP FOR PLUTO! UNLIKE THE WIMPY FRENCH WE AMERICANS STILL PROUDLY HAVE A FULL NINE!

I am a Non-politically correct liberal democrat. Through out this blog I have been attacking both liberals and conservatives. In this post I want to focus on a valid point of liberals when it comes to the court system.

During the early stages of the Ramsey case the parents had been the prime suspects. Regardless of evidence police have found that when children are murdered in the home it usually is done by a parent. That plus the fact that most of us have a visceral dislike for parents who have their children engage in highly competitive contests at such an early age as Jon Benet. Her participation in toddler beauty pageants would incline many to label the parents guilty without full proof!

I feel the same when I see very young boys at five years of age in full football regalia slugging it out while their beer belly dads scream at them for some stupid error. I think these beer belly dads need a good kick in the ass to stop living their lives through their sons and have the guts to work on their gut or at least shut up!

Imagine if some detective in the Ramsey case were to believe that the evidence supported the parents guilt and decided to engage in “evidence enhancement” by leaving something incriminating from the parents at the crime scene. Every one thought it was the parents then latter others were suspects. Finally along comes Karr. Ahh you say but his x-wife says he was with her that Christmas. What better help can you have than for an “x” wife to say that! But Karr says he is guilty!

The point is that Karr seems to be hell bent on making himself look like the killer but his “X” comes to his aid. If Karr is not guilty then it proves liberals again to be correct as simply making a confession does not prove you are the killer! In just about every murder case the victim had family and/or friends who said some bad thing about them at one time or another. With the Ramsey’s, again we may not like them due their love of child beauty pageants, but we cannot allow justice to be blinded by either things the parents “may” have said against their child (what parent doesn’t) or by a “confession” by someone who seems disturbed! I am not writing to speculate who is guilty. I think we have enough of that.

My point is that the COURT SYSTEM must do that and by the book not by whims. Else we would have convicted different people at different times!

This proves liberals have a point when it comes to judicial proceedings. What I have a problem with in regard to my fellow democrats is the idea that we are allowing our inner city streets to become prisons for law abiding citizens. Does poverty mean that not only one is forced to live in a poor neighborhood but also cannot enjoy walking the streets with out the fruits of their honest low wage labor being stolen by criminals? Is this the new slavery?

In conclusion the Ramsey – Karr case teaches us a lesson that the judicial process must be respected. Concurrently life is not an “either – or” situation we must take back our streets from the criminals! If we democrats want to win elections we need more than knee – jerk responses.

I am a NON-PC Liberal Democrat. I like Lieberman and believe that we should have a strong national defense policy while protecting the economic security of America! Lieberman, has to his advantage, that the American Conservative Union gave him a rating of 0% according to the conservative newspaper “Human Events”. The problem with Lieberman is that he wants to follow the same road in Vietnam that alienated an entire generation! Remember “Vietnamization”? Like Lieberman I believe we need to take strong military action when our vital national interests are at stake and have the tools at our disposal in which to act WHEN IT IS APPROPIATE!

I was also duped by George Bush. I have no problem with overthrowing Sadam. But the problem is that our nation cannot go around the world engaging in endless “social engineering experiments” because we do not have unlimited resources to do so.

Thank God that the current members of the National Guard attend to their full six year commitment unlike their Commander In Chief! We falsely faced the issue of Iraqi Weapons of Mass Destruction when we should have been dealing with North Korean Weapons of Mass Destruction. I do not fault Lieberman for wanting to take bold decisive action. The issue is not the war but the particular battle field and the “methodology” to use our limited resources!

With N. Korea we could use tactical air power even “invite” the Chinese to overthrow the “Dear Leader” and replace him with a Vietnam like communist! We accept the DMZ we just don’t want nuclear weapons coming over that DMZ! I listened to Lieberman talk about the danger of setting a time table. Why yes if our goal is to stay there and sacrifice our brave troops until an Iraqi Democracy can be made self sustaining. The problem is that is NOT in our vital National Interest. The flow of oil is! Yes I have no problem saying that! No I am not an “imperialist” for saying oil is worth a war! The fact is we cannot allow our nation’s economy to fall.

We have to face facts!

• In that light are we going to extend this “social engineering experiment” of the neo-cons to the whole Muslim world?
• Also what happens when a Muslim nation has elections and fundamentalists win?

No doubt Senator Lieberman feels the great bastions of democracy in the Muslim world such as Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates are pushing like hell to make this neo-con social engineering experiment successful. Being the great democracies that they are! Not to mention that great champion of democracy you may have heard about. You know – SUDAN! The nice folks who are waging a genocidal war against the Christians in the Dafar province and no one seems to care!

But then again Bush and Lieberman seem to focus more on small warhead katusa rockets falling 25 miles into Northern Israel rather than the fact that North Korea has nuclear weapons and is testing long range missiles capable of traveling thousands of miles to our shores carrying nuclear war heads!

Both Bush and Lieberman seem to have their priorities wrong. I am also for being decisive but only when it benefits AMERICA’S NATIONAL INTEREST. We are stirring up a hornet’s nest of nuts in the Muslim world and for what? Are we going to go on a crusade for democracy into the Muslim world when even our Muslim friends don’t want it or then vote a Muslim fundamentalist government into power! As I mentioned in a prior post it is not simply “democracy” but “secular liberalism” that stops the zanies!

Meanwhile our economy is bleeding as CUT AND RUN Corporate America spreads the capital it was permitted to create in our nation to alien shores. Building the capacity of China to harm us down the line with no guarantee for America’s vital interests only the interest$ of their portfolio$! As middle class Americans, and those who aspire to be, watch these effete snobs renounce their American identity to become multinational corporations with no loyalty to the nation and culture that gave them succor, incorporation, protection and PROFITS we hear the claims of these effete snobs that our middle class should settle for less income. We see our job security go down the drain while these effete snobs who preach the Free Market then use their K Street to money lobbyists to effect GOVERNMENT INTERVENTION in the job market, by importing foreign technical workers to lower computer professionals salaries! Meanwhile they advocate blue collar workers learn computer skills for the jobs they lost! This from the effete snobs who preach Ann Rand and her book “Atlas Shrugged”!

The time has come for Bush and his fellow traveler Lieberman to get their priorities straight. Iraq was a mistake, at least the continued occupation after the war.

Our goal was to end the Baath Party Regime and stop Iraq from creating WMD! Mission Accomplished! Now let’s get the HELL OUT! We have bigger fish to fry. It is time for the Silent Majority – America’s Middle Class to stand up for our nation!

Bush seems to believe that by spreading democracy we can end Islamic Terrorism.

• Ask the Israeli’s that with Gaza next door to them. Hamas got elected to office not necessarily because the Palestinian’s wanted war with Israel but because the Palestinian electorate wanted to punish the P.L.O. for allowing corruption. Now Hamas runs Gaza.
• Next we have the case of Iran. While not a secular democracy they elected the current President primarily to improve their economic condition. Unfortunately he seems to have an agenda to arm his nation with nuclear weapons.

So just who is Bush trying to help here? Certainly not the “bastions of democracy” like Saudi Arabia and the U.A.E! In many Muslim nations however fundamentalists would win the election because the electorates would indeed favor their radical agenda!

What is missing is a crucial ingredient! What is that ingredient? Two words Mr. Bush needs to learn! “SECULAR LIBERALISM” is the answer.

Scriptural Islam is no more closed minded than Scriptural Christianity and Scriptural Judaism! By the way I am not an atheist but a liberal Christian. However both Christians and Jews underwent a modernization process after centuries of madness. Islam is just undergoing this process now! But comparing their scripture with our scripture does not give either a humanitarian superiority. Oh please don’t give me the passages about the 77 virgins in the Koran because there are also friendlier passages in the Koran. The issue is the “reader”. Which passages of any scripture does the believer wish to pay attention to! That is the issue. Today in Christianity and Judaism we just like to “make believe” we don’t have “fun passages”. So in case you missed some in my prior posts let me list them here.

The following are examples of what Judaism and Christianity would be like IF we did not mature with the help of SECULAR LIBERALISM! We have all been lead to believe that scriptural Islam is inferior to scriptural Christianity and Judaism. The Koran gives you 77 virgins when you die but our bible gives you a virgin for plunder in this life!

Numbers 31:17

¹⁷ Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, ¹⁸ but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man.

What stops us from plundering a virgin today Mr. Bush? Secular Liberalism!

Genocide anyone? Why not do it Bible style!

What stops us from Bible based genocide today Mr. Bush? Secular Liberalism!

What a waste! In the above they kill all the livestock! Our bible’s God in other passages did not remove the genocide but did remove the senseless waste of livestock!

Deuteronomy 2:33-35

33 the LORD our God delivered him over to us and we struck him down, together with his sons and his whole army. 34 At that time we took all his towns and completely destroyed them-men, women and children. We left no survivors. 35 But the livestock and the plunder from the towns we had captured we carried off for ourselves.

Now that’s better we cannot “waste” plunder now can we? Notice men, woman AND CHILDREN are to be killed! That must be what is termed “pro-life”. Now you might think this is like the Nazi’s creating a “Final Solution” for the nasty Canaanite problem.

What stops us Mr. Bush from following a solid bible based “final solution” today? Answer “SECULAR LIBERALISM”!

But no the Bible is superior. Genocide must be done in an “earth friendly” manner! We don’t want to despoil the delicate flacura and fauna with the litter of corpses of men, woman and children now do we? Can the Muslims “boast” EARTH FRIENDLY PASSAGES for the conduct of genocide? Silly Muslims!

Deut. 20:19

¹⁹When you lay siege to a city for a long time, fighting against it to capture it, do not destroy its trees by putting an ax to them, because you can eat their fruit. Do not cut them down. Are the trees of the field people, that you should besiege them?

What separates our society from this idiocy Mr. Bush? SECULAR LIBERALISM!

President Bush does not get it! But then again we still in this society allow Christian fundamentalists to decide our national policy stopping stem cell research and getting us even more involved in the Mideast so we can hasten the second coming! What is going to stop this madness? SECULAR LIBERALISM! Lets take our country back! As Americans our concern should not be with katusa rockets going 25 miles into northern Israel (bad as that is)! Rather we should be concerned with the fact that North Korea has nuclear weapons and is building ICBM’s to launch those missiles at the USA! Besides Muslims are killing Christian civilians on a genocidal level in the Sudan but no one seems to give a damn! Let’s get our priorities straight Mr. Bush and stop pandering to the Christian right and Israeli lobby!

Time for the silent majority which is American’s middle class, and those who aspire to be, to stand up and take back our country! How will that be done? By SECULAR LIBERALISM that’s how!
