I see no problem with the Vice President’s daughter being Gay and wanting to be a single mom. Recently Wolf Blizter, an anchor on CNN, asked the Vice President about his daughter being both Gay and a single mom. The VP got annoyed, refused to answer and told Blizter he was out of line.
Isn’t it amazing how these elite have two sets of values. They rant and rave against gays and try to push a constitutional amendment to define “marriage”. Yet they have no problem with a single mom who is Gay when it is one of “THEIR CHILDREN”!
While I agree that the VP’s situation should be handled respectfully and tastefully, none the less he is a GOD DAMNED HYPOCRITE when he does not speak out against Republicans trying to use Gay Marriage as a wedge issue to cover up their failures in Iraq. Sure it is hard on his family. But the man is in the public limelight and this country has made him rich and given him it’s second highest office. Why should he be isolated and feel safe while many Gays have to be persecuted by Republicans who seek to build wedge issues to cover up their failures. Meanwhile the VP has said that we are having enormous success in Iraq! Now isn’t that a queer thing to say! Vice President Cheney needs to accept reality both abroad and at home. He should tell the Christian Right to just SHUT UP.
Oh they talk about us Democrats using “fear” tactics as if marriages are breaking apart due to the conversion of one or both partners in their sexual orientation. The Vice President and his fellow travelers of effete snobs would due better to out law divorce if they want to protect the American Family. Though I should not write this as I suppose some in the wacko religious right would like to do that also!
Perhaps if the VP were not so latently ashamed of his daughter he would tell the religious right to shut up instead of Wolf Blizter!

While I usually enjoy watching Keith Olberman, Wednesday night was not one of those nights due to his “political correctness”. He did a cartoon video spoof on Jesus compared to Tom Cruise. Keith was having some fun with Tom Cruise’s prestige in Scientology, alleging that he was their messiah. Fine and good! But even though I am a latter day hippie and I enjoy seeing organized religion mocked (Christian or Scientology) I do not like to see the figure of Jesus mocked.

Please understand I don’t want Mr. Olbermann or his show punished. But I would like to pose some questions!
Imagine that instead of Jesus this was the prophet Moses (or better) Mohammed in Mr. Olbermann’s video carton?
By now MSNBC reporters all over the world would be dead from Muslim retaliation. You know the religion of peace! Meanwhile back home the usual chorus from the masochistic left would be offering their “mea kulpas” for how the evil decadent middle class America is the cause of all the world’s problems and how we lack “sensitivity” to the Third World viewpoint.

Being that we are all decadent Americans living this horrible middle class lifestyle comprising “x” percent of the earth’s population and yet using “x + y” percent of the resources, why we would deserve to have people killed if Mr. Olbermann did his satire video on Mohammed instead of Jesus! By the way I am not a Baptist or fundamentalist. I believe in environmental causes so long as it is to find solutions rather than masochism. I even have a religion website that attacks fundamentalism. I am a liberal Episcopalian who would like to see some consistency in regards to religion. It doesn’t take much to make me happy. Just leave my Christmas Tree alone in the malls. Besides it gives me connections to my Druid Celtic roots. Oh yes we are a “native people” also. But then so is everyone!
Well let me see the “PC Crowd” wants us to be multilingual/multicultural so why doesn’t MSNBC send Keith Olbermann to Iran where he could run the same Video comparing Tom Crusie and Jesus. But make it “culturally relative” and thus politically correct. So substitute Mohammed for Jesus!
Mr. Olbermann I really do enjoy your show. How about being a little “sensitive” to the needs of the various groups who watch your show?
Ah we got a new defense program from our President! He wants to create a “Civilian Reserve Corps”. It would be similar to the various military reserves. Could this be a send the rich to war in style program? I assume, unlike Bush who served in the National Guard, the members of this new Civilian Reserve Corps would actually have records of being in attendance and folks who remembered them! No doubt they would draw CIVILIAN PAY besides not having to be subject to military discipline!
Mr. President why not just add these critical job skills to the list of “M.O.S.” in the military. You do remember what that term means now don’t you? Would Halliburton employees fill these slots? Just curious! The Armed Forces have M.O.S. (Military Occupational Specialty) slots for doctors, dentists, and lawyers. So what’s the problem?
Hey remember we are overflowing with volunteers who want to go to Iraq! Well maybe this isn’t a quota system for the rich! Just think you can have your technical job outsourced at home or filled by a guest worker from the H1b Visa program! Ah but you can get your old pay scale back by joining the “Civilian Reserve Corps”!
I found the rest of President Bush’s speech the same old “yada yada”. In his Presidential legacy he will be remembered for:
- Giving tax breaks to the rich while hurting the middle class.
- Putting our troops in harms way so he and his neo-con friends can engage in a Iraqi social engineering experiment after they told us we were not going to be involved in “nation building”.
- Then engaging in a policy of “Cut and Run” from Afghanistan where the real war on terrorism is being waged, in order to surge the social engineering experiment in Bagdad!
- Don’t forget the great job Bush has done securing our borders when the next terror strike occurs.
- But then they might be coming via our unsecured ports that he wanted to out source to the U.A.E.
- Managing the outsourcing of American jobs and technology not by “Trickle Down Economics” but by his “Surge Out Economics”. At least Reagan’s system gave us some eventual help.
It’s time for the Middle Class to wake up from this sleep we have engaged in. We have slept while our class interests have been subverted by Bush and his fellow travelers! He has cut taxes for those who are paid too much and who have undermined our salaries by out sourcing American jobs. Senator Webb gave an excellent rebuttal. I would like to see Senator Webb run for president! I hope the Democratic Party is going to stop the politically correct nonsense and work for the Silent Majority of America!
I can never understand the violent hatred that Senator Hillary Clinton arouses in some conservatives. Hell I would barely call her a liberal. As you know she has declared herself a candidate. For those of you who don’t remember when her hubby was President, we had a thing back then called a “budget surplus”! Now with George Bush and his “Glorious Crusade To Destroy Iraqi Weapons of Mass Destruction” the only thing that got destroyed were our service men and woman’s lives along with the Clinton budget surplus!
My only problem with Senator Clinton is not that she was for the war originally, as I too got duped into believing the war was to fight WMD! My “potential” issue with her is the issue of so called “free trade”! A fast google of her revealed a mixed result. That still does not bother me as much as how she stands on the issue today! Again I was for the Iraqi War originally and I still believe the War in Afghanistan is correct. But then so does Senator Clinton.
What we have to examine is her current stance on the outsourcing of American jobs and the American Dream to cheap foreign labor. Also what is her present stand on the H1B Visa program that has destroyed the job market for the technology industry. What good is education if we allow government intervention in the job market to destroy the security of the labor force? All for the benefit of those effete snobs of corporate America who shed their identity as Americans to preach “globalization”!
Senator Clinton has a good track record in terms of universal health care! The cost of individual health care insurance is beyond the reach of most Americans. Even those who can afford it are then at wits end when facing an economic slump in the economy.
Freedom is more than just the ability to vote. It is the ability to CHANGE JOBS without fear of the loss of health care insurance! Also to know that your hard work will give you some job security in a changing world. Without that we are at the mercy of the “Corporate Collectivists”. These effete snobs of corporate America, who preach free market, have no problem with government intervention to manipulate the market to lower the wages of middle class Americans. They have substituted so-called “free” trade for “fair” trade!
These “corporate collectivistis” have:
- Outsourced American jobs to cheap foreign labor. Many work even under slave like conditions in third world nations and communist China. Ah yes capitalism and communism together! All for the betrayal of the rights of humanity to a better life!
- Imported under the H1b guest worker visa program more low wage foreign workers for the technology industry then there are even jobs!
- Allowed our borders to be wide open to lower the wages of meat packers, construction workers, farm workers and a host of others. Note I am not against giving amnesty if we first lock shut our borders. We must exercise our sovereignty as a nation. It is bigotry to demand that some can be excused from our laws while others must wait to enter our country.
Senator Clinton will you protect American Jobs? That is the issue!
Today on “Meet The Press” , program host Tim Russert, quoted an article in the Baltimore Sun that said we are taking critical troops from Afghanistan to use for Bush’s troop surge in Iraq. According to Mr. Russert’s report these troops are needed to stem an expected Al Qaeda – Taliban offensive from their hideouts in Pakistan. (See Meet The Press Website)
President Bush what the HELL is the matter with you! Al Qaeda and the Taliban are the real enemies here not a centuries old conflict between Sunni and Shiites which you lied our troops into. The issue is not if we can win in Iraq – we can if we want to sacrifice thousands more of our brave men AND woman, many from the National Guard. You know what the National Guard is now Mr. President? You did at least attend a few meetings in your youth when you were a member?
You talk about terrorists following us back from Iraq. Why hell yes under your administration this could happen. Since you did not:
- Use enough troops in the first place in Iraq!
- You didn’t secure Iraq’s borders after the occupation
- Our nation’s borders are still not secured even though you and your fellow travelers had control of the Presidency, Senate and House of Representatives for six years.
- But then again they might not come through the borders but via our ports. The very same ports that are still not secured and that you wanted to turn over to the United Arab Emirates!
This President lied to us about WMD. He lied when they said we were not going to get involved in “nation building”. He lied when he said we did this war and occupation with enough troops.
Bush has lied about the reasons for placing our troops in harms way. Clinton lied about getting a blow job yet he got impeached! This situation SUCKS and maybe it’s time that the Congress fully investigates the intelligence leading to this war and funding of it.
If ultimately the House of Representatives uses it’s power of the purse and Bush blows it by trying to continue the war then Bush should be IMPEACHED!
I would consider myself a liberal democrat but this blog will be NON-PC. While Bush and his fellow travelers continue to waste American lives and our economic resources China has successfully shot down one of its own satellites. We Americans had better take this very seriously.
We are financing the rise of the Chinese military industrial complex by the behavior of our very own “CUT AND RUN CAPITALISTS” who have as much loyalty to our nation as a prostitute after a cheap $15.00 trick! While liberals whine and wail how America is the cause of the entire world’s problems and never cease to apologize and make excuses for the enemies of freedom, the Republicans see it differently! They instead see the enemies of America as an “investment opportunity”!
With the ever increasing flow of investment and jobs from our nation into China by these CUT AND RUN CAPITALISTS and their fellow travelers in the Republican Party, our national security grows weaker!
What is the modus operandi of how we are aiding the Chinese Military Industrial Complex?
- By accelerating the growth of the Chinese economy we free more Chinese funds for investment in her military industrial complex.
- The Free Trade Iscariots in our government also turn the other way to the massive scientific, military and industrial espionage that the Chinese have been conducting.
Our military is highly dependant on satellite technology as the Iraq war demonstrated. Unlike the Russians and Chinese we do not want to send massive amounts of our troops to die. In order to prevent this we must preserve, protect and defend our technological advantage! “Shock and awe” is a valuable American asset as it preserves our troop’s lives! When China starts to threaten us guess who will divest themselves of their “Global Corporation Identity” and rediscover their roots? After helping to create the monster overseas these same CUT AND RUN CAPITALISTS will now re-invent themselves as Americans to invest in profit making in the American industrial complex. America’s Middle Class will also be presented an “investment opportunity”. We will have the ability to invest our sons and daughters in wars that could have been avoided.
Let’s not forget on the other side of the political spectrum the PC liberal crowd! These same hypocrites will whine and wail that to defend our nation is a “Star Wars” illusion yet turn their heads away from China’s two recent tests. First she flashed her lasers on our satellites showing she could blind them. Next China actually shot down one of her own orbiting satellites! Amazing isn’t it that these very same PC Liberals could talk about alternative forms of energy where huge “Solar Sail Collecters” could be made to orbit our planet. Then beam a concentrated energy beam back to earth that would power our electrical grid. No doubt the beam would not be diverted by just a fraction of a degree which could sizzle a city! Yet if we were to shot a smaller beam the opposite direction to stop an enemy nuclear missile then these 21st Century Masochists of the left would say that is a “Star Wars” illusion! – Hypocrites!
The time has come for America’s middle class (and those who aspire to be) to assert ourselves and take our country back from these Cut And Run Capitalists on the right and the politically correct 21st century masochists from the left!
