We live in an era where latter day hippies are infecting our young with a new book and DVD called “The Secret”. It teaches visualizing and goal setting! Can you imagine people actually setting goals? Especially those who are not of the upper class? Most of us know that Bill Clinton dared to picture himself being one day as the President of the United States. He even had a picture of himself taken as a High School student with then President Kennedy. He then pictured in his mind, using the very same wicked technique taught in the book and DVD called “The Secret” that he would one day be President. While the book is new the theory is based on the wicked technique of “goal setting” and wanting to make something of your life!
What is worse is that Bill Clinton’s college sweetheart who latter became his wife joined him in this. They engaged in PRE-MARITAL GOAL SETTING! How dare a person of “their class” first study abroad then actually set long term goals for themselves! How dare they have dreams!
This is the latest accusation against Hillary Clinton that the vicious die hard Republicans are leveling against her. Yet if she where one of their own who read Napoleon Hill, who idolized the robber barons of the 19th century, they would sing a different tune. Motivation books laud a study that was done of Harvard grads that said that the 5% who made clear cut long range goals prior to graduation, over the course of their lives, made more than the other 95% combined. Well tell me aren’t Hillary and Bill Clinton allowed to do the same?
All of us have had goals from our youth. God Bless Hillary Clinton for sticking to her goals! While Ann Cutler gets older and her skirt gets shorter, Hillary Clinton did not loose sight of family goals by divorce! Oh now they say she thought about it. Who wouldn’t after that ordeal? But she demonstrated FAMILY VALUES! Did these Republican entrepreneurial types ever hear of an NLP term called an “anchor”? Well both Hilary and Bill fell in love during an idealistic era! They both had dreams of political success and to make a difference! If those dreams helped them to “re-anchor” after the infidelity what is wrong with that?
Having a long term goal and calling that “evil” is the same Bull shit they leveled at Bill Clinton. How dare they have goals and at such a youthful age? How dare the goals of your youth be used to preserve your marriage! Well I say God Bless them both!
I am a Middle Class American who like most reading this blog would love to be self-employed. Aside from the fact that both parties have destroyed the computer and technology fields with the H1-B Visa program to lower high tech salaries, there is an even more serious challenge to living the American Dream of Independence. That issue is “Health Insurance”. While the Republicans talk the big talk about “rugged individualism” and the “entrepreneurial” spirit, it is almost impossible for an individual to become an independent contractor or consultant as obtaining individual Health Insurance is near impossible or cost prohibited.
Yes they whine about the “Collective” and how “Atlas Shrugged” but then they create “contingencies of reinforcement” that make people become “employees” rather than independent consultant/contractors. Last night CBS News ran an excellent story about a Middle Class man who is trying to live the American dream but was forced to buy individual medical insurance. Then after he had a heart attack they did not want to pay. Now he cannot get any coverage! I will take Hilary Clinton’s universal health care any day! Better than that I will even take SOCIALIZED MEDICINE! Forget the boogey man of the government worry about the Corporation that wants you to serve their Globalization Collective!
These same Ann Rand Capitalists glorify the free market then demand government intervention to lower the salaries of Computer Programmers via the H1-B Visa program.
Why should a college student struggle with Computer and Engineering courses if there is no reward? Then they wonder why “Atlas Shrugged”. If the H1B Visa program is not bad enough then there is “off shoring” and YOUR JOB is next.
The Wall Street Journal on March 28, 2007 listed the following jobs that will follow programmers to be off shored:
- actuaries
- film editors
- mathematicians
- medical transcriptionists
- economists
- graphic designers
- accountants and bookkeepers
- financial analysts
- and even microbiologists.
But don’t worry! Repeat after me:
- Can you say “Cheeseburger”!
- “Will that be a large or small order of fries”?
Ah yes it’s George Bush’s Brave New World! Time for the Middle Class to wake up and take our dreams and our nation back from these effete snobs of Corporate America.
For the Middle Class watching current events is like living in an alien world. After putting our brave troops in harms way, our President who never completed his own required enlistment, now has the stupidity to defame those who have the courage to redeploy our Armed Forces away from Iraq back to the War on Terror. Just like in Vietnam these Neo-cons continue to “use” our troops for their own agenda. Meanwhile, their minions at Halliburton, try to profit from both the war and dealing with Iran. This is the very same Iran that is supplying roadside bombs to kill and maim our troops.
QUESTION: But wouldn’t a cutoff of funds demoralize our troops?
ANSWER: First our armed forces do not determine National Policy. The Congress of The United States has the SOLE power to declare War and the President’s job is to execute that decision. The troops are being “used” by this President who never gave an accounting of his military service. Did anyone ever think that if our troops got orders to return home IMMEDIATELY that might be just peachy keen with almost all of them? When they see that they “have” to remain there despite doing several tours of duty it is psychologically adaptive to “find meaning” even if there is none! It is the job of our society to determine War or Peace not the military. Stop using our brave troops to foster Bush’s agenda.
The majority of the Iraqi Parliament have signed a petition asking us to leave. The majority of Iraqi citizens have indicated in polls that they believe it is OK to kill Americans. Other polls of Iraqis say they want us out and our presence is making things worse! That is what is demoralizing our troops not the Democrats.
Ah yes it’s spring time in Afghanistan! While gasoline delivery to the American consumers is down, Afghan poppy production is UP! Damn it makes one proud to be an American under our great President. Despite a war raging in their country there is no shortage of labor in Afghanistan to harvest this wonderful crop, that will no doubt, go to finance TERRORISTS. Being that Afghanistan is right next door to Pakistan, which has nuclear scientists and is the home of the Al-Qaeda network, these drug revenues can be used to finance dirty bombs to threaten our homeland!
Is Bush worried? Hell no we got more important falafel to fry in Iraq! But couldn’t Iraq turn into a bloodbath if we leave? Well did anyone ever hear of “Darfur”? Seems we don’t mind the Islamic fascists committing genocide there? Strangely we don’t hear a whisper about “Never Again” from Israel as hundreds of thousands die in genocide but hell that’s Darfur so who cares – right?
But then again you hardly hear Al Sharpton complain about the genocide in Darfur either! That would cause a problem for Big Al as he would have to admit that the killing is not being done by White Christian Europeans! As we all know, White Christian Europeans and especially their descendants in America, are the cause of all the world’s problems!
QUESTION: But if we leave Iraq they will follow us home?
ANSWER: They are coming but not from Iraq! We had better start taking decisive action NOW to stop them! Not only is this Afghan poppy going to finance WMD against us but these drugs will turn our inner cities into terror spots for the elderly as drug addicts roam our streets.
Let us stop wasting our valuable resources in a failed neo-con SOCIAL ENGINEERING EXPERIMENT that Bush and his fellow travelers are using to divert us from:
- Securing our ports instead of the attempted outsourcing to the United Arab Emirates,
- Securing our borders instead of allowing an unchecked migration and the addition of sanctioned Mexican truckers crossing our borders,
- Winning the War On Terror in Afghanistan.
- Devising some sort of National Health Care System instead of off shoring American jobs.
By the way isn’t it strange that Bush and his fellow travelers can support “Vouchers” from the Federal Treasury for parochial schools but no “Voucher System” for Heath Care? When will the Middle Class wake up?
Could it be that Bush and McCain are right! Disturbing new reports are coming out of Barsa! As the British are leaving the Iraqi Terrorists are following them home, perhaps even coming to our shores! Muslims have been seen lining up at the start of the Persian Gulf port of Barsa. They are using Jihad FIFTH COLUMNISTS!
Four Muslim terrorists lie on the beach then a “FIFTH” Muslim lies in the water with his ankles being held by the fourth on the beach. The sixth then climbs over the fifth who is already in the water and he then EXTENDS THE HUMAN CHAIN by lying in front of the fifth in the water. This sixth terrorist then has his ankles held in by the fifth.
Sheik Mujahdeen their commander says they will continue building a HUMAN CHAIN BRIDGE by lying down one after another in the ocean extending the HUMAN CHAIN FOR ALLAH one Jihadist at a time, the next walking over the sixth to become the seventh having his ankles held by the sixth and he (the seventhth) will then hold the ankles of the eighth! Then the next will walk over the eighth to become the ninth, so on and so on. Since the Persian Gulf does not have direct access to the Atlantic they will have to extend this human chain down past the tip of Africa then up the Atlantic. At least this is the first scenario for an attack against America! Most believe they will not go to Britain but extend their HUMAN CHAIN to the east coast of America! As the cold waters freeze them they will be warmed by the thought of 71 Virgins as they build a HUMAN CHAIN BRIDGE from Iraq to the Great Satan America! When the last one reaches out and his hands touch our shores the next ones will walk this bridge and bring WMD to America!
A second scenario at the CIA speculates that the crafty devils may instead not go around the tip of Southern Africa but turn toward the Pacific and land their human chain on our west coast! The crafty devils could then use this Human Chain Bridge to bring WMD to California!
Bush, McCain, Giuliani and Mitt Romney are less concerned about a “Third Scenario”.
This is a rather silly scenario. In this scenario terrorists hiding in Waziristan in conjunction with Pakistani scientists who are friends with al-Qaida, arrange for a dirty bomb to be shipped undercover by boat to Mexico! Once in Mexico they can then have it shipped across our open borders! Yes our WIDE OPEN BORDERS which after SIX YEARS of Republican control of both houses of Congress and the Presidency still remain wide open despite 9-11! But now thanks to Bush and his fellow travelers in the Corporate lobby, we will soon be having Mexican truckers crossing our borders legally! We would not want a dirty bomb to go slowly, in parts over the border now would we! Alternatively the bomb could come via our open ports! Imagine the silly idea that al-Qaida could get someone planted in Dubai. That is why it is so important that we let Bush have his Dubai Ports deal. It is not a security threat! They would not come here that way. Just make sure we stay in Iraq so they don’t start building a Human Chain over the ocean!
When are these bozos going to secure our borders and ports? When are they going fight the war on terrorism instead of being sidetracked in Iraq? When are they going to stop these CUT AND RUN CAPITALISTS who bleed our technology and economy to the enemies of America just so they can make a buck!
The time has come for the Silent Majority: Armerica’s great Middle Class to stand up and say NO to this neo-con social engineering experiment in Iraq!
Blabbermouth McCain has said that if the Democrats believe the war is wrong we should have the guts to cut the funding. Along with his fellow travelers they have stated that making “benchmarks” and an “evaluation date” would be aiding the enemy!
Recently eleven Republican members of Congress have told Bush that their constituents want “out” of Iraq and that Bush could kill the Republican Party if he does not change! Bush is now singing a different tune with regard to benchmarks and having a public progress report! If he believes that winning in Iraq is vital, whatever that means after “mission accomplished”, then he should forge ahead regardless of the fate of his party!
It seems that Bush and his fellow travelers are more interested in “Republican Party security” rather than National Security if we are to take them at their past word for the criteria for national security!
Meanwhile Dick “Eagle Eyed” Cheney has visited Iraq and was photographed wearing a bullet proof vest! Can you imagine four years after the fall of the Nazis and our Vice President visiting Germany still having to wear a bullet proof vest? Perhaps V.P. Cheney should not have been wearing the vest but the generals, at least if the V.P. was armed! The Cracker Jack marksmen V.P. may have mistakenly shot one of our generals by mistake!
Now what is McCain’s reaction to all this? He has stated that it would be wrong to ask more soldiers to die if we know we are going to walk out with out a victory! He has also said politicians should not be managing the war. Wrong they are not managing the war they are ending it! Remember “mission accomplished”? The goal was to remove Iraqi WMD! Yet again I ask this question:
QUESTION: What is similar to Iraqi Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) and why?
ANSWER: George Bush’s completed service record in the National Guard! Like Iraqi WMD neither can be found!
The Republicans have festered an era of licentious permissiveness where CUT AND RUN CAPITALISTS betray our nation by off shoring from the nation that gave them birth and profits! Now they further betray our values by:
- ILLEGALLY selling our military technology to China,
- Sending their minions, as in Halliburton’s case, to make a profit from Iran,
- Internet Giants helping China crack down on free speech!
The time has come for America’s Silent Majority, our great Middle Class, to stand up and take our nation back from these effete snobs who place profit over country! God Bless America!
