I was impressed by Senator Biden tonight during the Democratic Party debate. I believe the solution he has proposed to divide Iraq into three separate provinces inside a federation is the best hope for their country. Senator Biden got 75 votes in the Senate in support of his nonbinding resolution! I was turned off by Governor Richardson’s statement that we need more H1-b Visa entrants into the country. The corporate world has done enough damage to the middle class job market already. What planet is Richardson from? But then again Hillary “PAC” Clinton is already on board the Silicon Valley gravy train express!
I also found her answer in relation to the Iran question weak. Take a clear stand Hillary will you stop Iran from having nukes if diplomacy fails?
Sure there are many in Iran who are against the mullahs. But if they get nuclear weapons the middle class liberal voters in Tehran will not be consulted if wacky Ahmadinejad decides to launch a nuclear strike or export the technology. Just look at the recent events in Syria! It appears North Korea was exporting it’s technology to Syria. This very same nation that was heralded as now being cooperative! Instead they are up to their old tricks. Does anyone see the mushroom coming over one of our cities?
What is even more amazing is that those who take a proactive stance against nuclear proliferation are all caught up in backing Bush in his neo-con social engineering experiment in Iraq! Meanwhile we may have just missed an opportunity to capture Bin Laden in Afghanistan because we did not have adequate military forces deployed there due to Bush and his obsession with Iraq. However opium production in Afganistan is at world record highs! No doubt the money raised will be paid to rogue Pakistani scientists via Al Qaeda! Hey that’s ok we can all sleep well knowing Michael Chertoff is doing a Katrina on our national borders with his air tight lock down of those crossing illegally!

As our nation watches our jobs and our futures being off shored to slave labor paying nations, we see the latest attempt to fight this with the United Auto Workers strike against G.M. Sure the UAW has its problems. As a college graduate I used to be annoyed that union workers would take ownership of the term “working class” as if college graduates do not work! But now I see us fighting a common enemy! Today we see computer programmers unionizing as technological jobs are being off shored and those that remain are being filled by H1-b Visa holders. Those who preach the “free market” have no problem with government intervention via H1-b to lower the salaries of technological employees and destroy middle class dreams!
On March 28, 2007 the Wall Street Journal ran it’s front page headline story about the next wave of jobs to be “OFF SHORED”. Among those occupations listed were Financial Analysts, Economists, Actuaries, Graphic Designers, Accountants and others! This week (10/01/2007) Business Week ran it’s cover story on employees in many white collar jobs not being paid over time and some are going to court! Perhaps it is time for the rise of an “Employee Consciousness Movement”! When unions use the term “worker” they alienate the larger workforce! They make change impossible. Democrats should use the term “employee” instead!
Jim Crammer on MSNBC’s “Hardball” said that to save G.M. the UAW must die! He proudly touted how “Caterpillar” broke the union to then move on to become the world’s largest producer of farm equipment! Jim Crammer said that:
“If GM can break the UAW then the stock of GM will go up in price five times. This is America and that is the only thing that we care about”!
What can be seen here is his definition of “America”. The middle class has no place in it! To his credit Mr. Crammer did seem to advocate universal health care but to alleviate the corporation of this cost!
As our nation drifts into a state where candidates like Hilary Clinton proudly take Big Tech corportate money and she loudly supports the H1-b Visa program to destroy American middle class dreams of financial independence, we who are progressives in both the Democratic and even Republican Parties, need to stand up for the Middle Class against the tyranny of the Corporate Collectivists! Hillary Clinton would “save” American jobs by importing H1-b Visa holders to America rather than let the FREE MARKET take care of the issue!
How is that you ask?
By the law of supply and demand if there are not enough computer and technological professionals to go around then salaries will go up! This will cause students to take the more difficult technology courses, as if they are not doing so already! But as the Programmer’s Guild has pointed out there is no shortage of people for high tech jobs. Corporate America just does not want to pay professional level salaries. Then as students lose faith in studying and filling the ranks of technology occupations these same free market defenders wonder why ATLAS SHRUGGED! Hillary Clinton grew up in the same generation as I did. I wonder if this is the chapter that she wishes to add to the standard utopian text book of our generation, “The Greening Of America”!
We live in an era of licentious permissiveness where the bleeding hearts of Jim Crammer and his fellow minions in the Corporate Class care more for the profits of the corporate collective than the individual! They preach the free market but then use government intervention to lower the wages and salaries of Middle Class Americans. They use so called “free trade” instead of “fair trade” to off shore American jobs. But as if that is not enough, they use government intervention in the American Job Market by importing H1-b Visa techs to lower those jobs that remain! This is no longer just an issue about the United Auto Workers Union! In this era of licentious permissiveness we witness Cut and Run Capitalists rushing from the nation that gave them succor, incorporation, protection and profits to reinforce the slave labor practices of other nations and even help the military of communist nations like China! These 21st century Iscariots then renounce their American Identity and term themselves “Global Corporations”. But guess who will rediscover their American roots when China becomes a military threat and our military industrial complex heats up with contracts? The very same CUT AND RUN CAPITALISTS!
The time has come for America’s Silent Majority – the great Middle Class (and those who aspire to be) to stand up for our nation and our dreams against these 21st Century enemies of individualism! If we do not then individual freedom will be subverted by these 21st Neo-Collectivists of Corptocracy!

The University Of Florida apparently values tasering students rather than embarrassing guest speakers and the practice of free speech! On the Keith Oberman Show it was stated that the young man in question may have jumped the line to give his question! I cannot comment on that as I was not present.
If he did jump the line then I believe in order to protect the right of free speech for the other students, the police should have removed him immediately rather than wait. From some of the videos presented on the media I originally thought he brought it on himself until I viewed the following video from You Tube. This shows what happened plus the events just prior to the police starting to remove him!
Rush Limbaugh and an Air America commentator have both condemned the police for this incident. Rush even jokes that the police did not move in until the student asked if Senator Kerry was a member of George Bush’s college fraternity “Skull and Bones”! Now I ask my readers to compare the news media video coverage of the event with the one above which shows the events just preceding the police grabbing the student. This proves to me that they were trying to spare Senator Kerry an embarrassment about his political views. But then again was there a video of the student bumping the line?
What I am against is the “Tyranny of The Self Righteous”. It seem there is a lot of that from both the conservatives and the liberals. Let me make one thing clear. If someone bumped me while I was in line and hence attempted to deny my right of free speech I would want them to be tasered! Yes that’s right. In Politically Correct left brain hemisphere speak “I am being genuine and an authentic human being in touch with my feelings”! But since I don’t know that to be the case and because the campus police seemed to be trying to spare Senator Kerry embarrassment, I must support the student. I believe he was wrongfully tasered. I agree with the questions he asked the Senator. I would like to add one more!
Senator Kerry, how much where you paid for this speech and how about giving it to this kid? Can you profit from Andrew Meyer being tasered knowing you where a youthful protester also?
This blog is from a progressive middle class perspective. I do not like Hillary Clinton after her defense of the H1-b Visa program which has destroyed the dreams of countless middle class of Americans for job security in a world dominated by the neo-collectivists of corporate America. I also do not like calling General Petraeus a traitor as he is a fine American just as is Senator Kerry who had his character assaulted. However I wonder why Giuliani does not demand that his fellow travelers in the Republican Party denounce Ann Coulter in her terming John Edwards a “fag”!
Those of you who live outside of NYC and believe that Mayor Big Mouth is a great hero need to learn who the real heroes where on 9-11.
Mayor Big Mouth Giuliani wanted to profit from the deaths of the World Trade Center by extending his term of office by six months! Just imagine our nation with Giuliani as President if we had a terrorist attack. He would attempt to pass a Reichstag “Enabling Act”. This is how Hitler came to power. No I am not calling Giuliani a Hitler. But I just wonder what happened to the Republican zeal for “strict constructionalist “interpretation of our laws and traditions. Our nation survived a Civil War and the British a World War without stopping elections or the time mandated change of regimes.
New York City has survived quite well without extending Mayor Giuliani’s term of office. Our nation can survive quite well without giving him a term of office as President. Oh yes and Senator Clinton you will not win the hearts of Middle Class Americans unless you repudiate the H1-B Visa program and support instead those who are trying to survive in the corporate collectivist jungle! Soon not only computer jobs but all college degrees will be made worthless by H1-B and the Corporate Neo-Collectivists! The Democratic Party must not assist but fight corporate America in it’s fight against the middle class. Yes it was nice that you gave back the recent contribution from Norman Hsu. Now how about returning the contributions from Silicon Valley?
Yet again President Bush tries to make the case that the war in Iraq is the same as the war on terrorism! What drives me crazy is some of the guys I work with have a knee jerk reaction in support of this President! The same President Bush who bragged to his college professor that he did not have to do his time in the National Guard! Yet he takes advantage of the duty and patriotism of Army Reserve and National Guard members NOT behaving as he did!
Bush gets away with this because he supports “kicking ass” as he said in Australia. The problem is that many Democrats are afraid to “enjoy” the fact that we really did kick ass in Afghanistan initially! Sometimes it takes more than mere objective logic. The hell with being politically correct! Let me repeat a maxim that my fellow Democrats must learn!

You can look down your nose at this statement but the fact is Americans believe in this and I have to admit I do also! The question is however “whose ass are we kicking with this war in Iraq?” Certainly not Al Qaeda! We are not making our nation more secure, even General Petraeus in his testimony admitted that. Our nation excels at “shock and awe” which uses our superior technological capabilities! George Bush has changed this to “bleed and gore” in an occupation that never had enough troops and serves no national objective! Why are we involved in this civil war in Iraq? Especially when Afghanistan is growing record opium crops that will be used to finance terrorism against our homeland! Meanwhile Bin Laden runs free in the mountains of the Afghan – Pakistan border! This is where we should now be “kicking ass” before we get struck again.
Bush has “boundary issues”. He cannot defend our own borders where 3,000 people cross illegally each day nor for that matter the Iraqi – Iranian border where weapons are crossing to kill our brave troops! Don’t forget our ports where most cargo containers are still not inspected six years after the attack of 9-11! Oh but Bush did want to relieve us of that responsibility by turning over our major ports to a company from the United Arab Emirates! Then this idiot has the nerve to talk about terrorists following us home from Iraq!
But we can all breathe easy now that Bush has just recently opened further our wide open borders to Mexican trucks! Yes please tell us Mr. Bush, once again how the terrorists are going to follow us home if we leave Iraq! Yet while under your watch Mr. Bush, Afghan opium production has grown to world record highs with the money going to Al Qaeda! Yes tell us how they are going to follow us home Mr. President while next door to this massive terrorist fundrasing operation some of the nice nuclear scientists in next door Pakistan have extremists beliefs and want to kill us! With the marriage of Afghan opium money and Pakistani nuclear smarts plus our wide open borders, does anyone see the mushroom cloud over our cities coming? Ah but I am being an alarmist!
What makes me sleep secure in my bed is the knowledge that our national security is backed by Michael Chertoff! With Bush and his side kick, Michael Chertoff, at the head of our Homeland Security, and Chertoff’s great tack record, surely a mushroom cloud over New York City is indeed a forgone return on idiocy! So my fellow Americans when the dirty nuclear dust cloud starts to fall on us remember the FALLING CHADS as this is indeed a return on idiocy! God help America!
www.MoveOn.org has been condemned for it’s ad about General Petraeus. Congressman Duncan Hunter went on a rampage at the Congressional hearings about the ad. While I do not question the General’s integrity I do question his judgment. General Petraeus however is a man of honor. His own son has recently completed training for the Army Airborne! Michael Moore in the movie/documentary “Fahrenheit 911” stops Republican members of Congress to give them military recruitment literature for their sons. Most got annoyed with Michael Moore. General Petraeus is not a hypocrite! The General honestly believes he is his doing the right thing. His actions could effect the life of his son! I do not question his integrity. I do question his judgments and possible self deception as I will explain further!
While Congressman Duncan Hunter’s point is well taken I would like to question him and General Petraeus about the reaction of Iraqi Prime Minister al-Maliki for snubbing President Bush at a regional summit last year! It seems that Prime Minister al-Maliki valued militia leader and fellow Shiite Sadr far more! Strange isn’t it that Prime Minister Maliki does not stand up Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad when he is scheduled to visit the nut of Iran. Hell it’s even stranger that he visits with the man who sending weapons to kill and maim our brave soldiers in Iraq! Congressman Hunter might want to consider why our soldiers are bleeding for the likes of Maliki when he not only visits Iran often but does not condemn his own parliament for going on a month’s vacation when they should have been seeking a solution to their internal sectarian conflicts.
As I understand the Constitution, General Petraeus does not have the right to decide if our troops should bleed and die for Maliki! That is a policy decision and his job is to implement the actions of the “Great Decider” George Bush. However it is within the expertise of General Petraeus to answer Republican Senator John Warner when he asked him if the war in Iraq is “making America more secure”? The news media is centering, on how when pressed by Senator Warner, the General replied “I honestly don’t know”, I believe this answer shows something far deeper.
General Petraeus first gave the answer that these actions are the best way to accomplish “our goals in Iraq”! Great answer but that was not the question and the General knew it! That Petraeus would even try such a “spin” makes him appear to have a vested interest in Bush’s political agenda not simply a frank military assessment. As a General he has nothing to fear from Congress, just be honest, give all the facts and don’t hold back. His commission comes from Congress not the President. Yes he must follow LAWFUL orders of the President. But his oath as an officer demands that he give without fear full complete and NON-EVASIVE responses to Congress!
There are some in this country, even in the news media, who refer to the “Administration” as the “Government”. This is not Europe as our government has three branches. The General must remember that and that his commission is by “Act of Congress”! The Senator asked a frank question and Petraeus acted defensively as if he has a policy investment! This is in violation of his oath as an officer. Let the “Great Decider” worry about the results of the answer! By the way here is a question that should have been asked in the committee meetings!
QUESTION: What is similar to Iraqi Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) and why?
ANSWER: George Bush’s completed service record in the National Guard. Like Iraqi WMD neither can be found!
