Middle Class Populist

I listened tonight to the Democratic Debate in Texas. The debate was co-hosted by CNN and a Spanish language cable channel “Univision”. What amazed me is that neither candidate put the moderator from Univision in his place!

What “place” is that you ask?

Why the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!

The Univision reporter asked both candidates why America should not become a bi-lingual nation. Both Barrack Obama and Hillary Clinton seemed to apologize for desiring to keep English as the “language that binds us together” but not the “Official Language”. They then pitifully spoke about how great it is to speak a second language. If it was one of the candidates I would have told the Univision reporter that bilingualism has no place in America and he should take pride in our American culture and heritage. If he has a problem with that why not return to Latin America and we would pay his plane fare.

I am sick of the “racism” that some Latino activist groups show. I have family in Italy! The current immigration laws were actually passed because many in America feared our nation was losing it’s northern European identity and wanted to restrict the flow of darker skinned Italians into our nation. Yet many Latino groups seem to believe they have an “entitlement” to cross our borders and our nation has to assimilate to them rather than the other way around! This is arrogant racism! What gives Mexicans the right to enter America ILLEGALLY while my distant kinfolk in Italy have to obey the law and wait? My grand parents had to learn English. There were no ballots printed in Italian and that is the way it should be.

I realize that most illegal aliens in this nation are decent hardworking people who want to have the “privilege” of becoming Americans. The problem is corporations that foster bilingual ATM machines in order to make a buck! I would have no problem with an eventual amnesty under an “Alien Assimilation Act” whereby:

1. A REAL border fence would be built. As Congressman Duncan Hunter said if you can cross this fence we will sign you up for our Olympic Team. Pop psychology talks about “boundary issues” when dealing with interpersonal problems. Nations must have secure boundaries and no guilt in enforcing them.

2. Employers would be really required to validate Social Security numbers and legal status. Those companies that try to undermine American workers must be fined heavily and even serve some jail time.

3. Anchor babies would be outlawed! If your parents are here illegally then the baby is not American!

4. English would be made the overt Official Language and all bi-lingual education would be outlawed!

5. Voting would be solely in English. Since they are required to learn English why are ballots printed in foreign languages?

6. Once the above conditions were meet and the real fence that Duncan Hunter talks about was built, not just voted on, then we could proceed to an Amnesty!

Both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton seemed to be pandering to the Texan Latino vote. In doing so they endanger their support from America’s Silent Majority! What really drives Americans insane is this racist ideas and concepts of:

· “Entitlement” by some Latino groups. If you don’t like America then LEAVE! As I mentioned I don’t believe most illegal Aliens share the beliefs of the activists.

· “Earned Citizenship”, No it is not earned citizenship if you broke the law and came here illegally! Are they better than my kinfolk who are waiting in Italy and others in third world nations around the world who wait and go through the legal requirements!

· “We have to fix Mexico”. This idea which was backed by both democratic candidates purports that it is America’s responsibly to fix the Mexican economy so that Mexicans can stay at home. No it is the responsibly of Mexico to deal with her sovereign economy! We are not the “Great Decider” or “Great Fixer” of the world.

· “Path to legalization“. No just call it “Amnesty”! Being phony does not help the issue. We are a nation of laws but our legal system does provide for “mercy”.

I am a populist Lou Dobbs Democrat. Unless Lou Dobbs runs for President I will vote for the Democratic ticket as I believe the issue of illegal immigration can be handled after the election. Besides both George Bush and John McCain have views almost identical to Obama and Clinton.

The time has come for America’s Silent Majority, our great Middle Class, which includes all races, to stand up and defend our national identity and Sovereignty!

Hillary Clinton, who lashes out at George Bush in almost every sentence, is now becoming very defensive when the spot light is placed on her! Note I enjoyed each attack on Bush but that is not the issue here. She now used sexist rhetoric at her Alma Mater which is a woman’s only gender segregationalist college! She did this to defray attention from the terrible performance she made at the last Democratic debate.

Hell even George Bush’s notorious fraternity, “Skull and Bones” accepts members of both sexes! But Hillary Clinton’s Alma Mater doesn’t do what George Bush’s “Skull and Bones” does! Hillary maybe if you were not so much a member of the “Good Ole Boys” club you would not have put your career on the line for the likes of Elliot Spitzer!

Trying to say that giving licenses to ILLEGAL ALIENS is a security issue is ridiculous! Her other argument was that then we could be assured that those on the road know how to drive. Hell we are talking about New York and no one knows how to drive in New York! Besides why cannot we enforce the law! Oh gosh now I said a bad thing now and I must humbly repent for being a Middle Class American! Police have set up check points in my suburb for drunk drivers. They also check your license and registration when they set up these checkpoints.

Hell the police do it on ST Patrick’s Day! Does that mean they are discriminating against Irish - Americans? If you are DWI or without a license you get arrested! That is the law! Doing so makes you an ILLEGAL DRIVER! So let’s cut the Krap Hillary!

When pressed during the debate, she attacked Bush for not getting the so-called “Comprehensive Immigration Law” passed. Bush and Hillary Clinton where fellow travelers down this path and this is a path that Americans don’t want to go down. This blogger is a progressive centrist and I have posted a reasonable solution to the illegal aliens in this nation that is humane so I will not go into that here.

Hillary Clinton seems to be afflicted with that ever so popular affliction in my political party - “political masochism”! She just cannot handle success. She says stupid things like supporting Spitzer. Her first act of stupidity was to destroy the dreams of Middle Class Americans and those who aspire to be middle class by supporting the H1-b Visa program and NAFTA! The H1-b program has destroyed the job market for technology workers. Almost all college graduate jobs will follow by being off shored as reported in the March 28^th issue of the Wall Street Journal! Ah but Hillary Clinton has an answer to off shoring American Jobs - Bring in lower paid foreign workers via H1-B. Great this keeps the jobs at least in America! Prepare for your future! Can you say, “will that be with pickles and ketsup”?

Hear Hillary as she speaks to her friends in the “Good Ole Boys Network”!

My question is this: Hillary Clinton when you will stop being a part of the “Good Ole Boy Network” that supports the rich! When will you stop trying to destroy the American Dream!

Let’s kill both H1-B and NAFTA! How about a “Dream Act” for the Middle Class Hillary?

Senator Hillary Clinton has made a huge policy blunder in the recent Democratic Party Debate. When asked about NY Gov. Spitzer’s plan to give drivers licenses to illegal aliens, she answered in the affirmative. Oh she did the usual PC dance around the issue by never calling them “illegal aliens” instead substituting the term “undocumented workers”. She then did a whine about how these people will be driving without licenses anyway! Well if they are found to be doing so and they are ILLEGAL then shouldn’t you go to jail and get deported! Oh my did I say something politically incorrect!

I am sick of the racist attitudes of the corporate America - Politically Correct consortium! I have relatives in Italy who have to wait their turn to come to America! Why are these people from Mexico being treated better! I believe most of them who have come here are decent people and I could even support a “final amnesty and comprehensive alien assimilation act” after certain conditions were met that so called “Comprehensive Immigration” does not address. These conditions include:

• Our borders are locked down with a full length double fence. Bring the Army home from Iraq and let them police our borders!
• Our airports and Visa holders are fully monitored.
• Employers are fined heavily and even jailed for hiring illegal aliens.
• English is made the official language of this nation and all bi-lingual signs are torn down.
• Bi-lingual education is eliminated.
• The concept of “anchor babies” is outlawed. If your parents come here illegally then you are illegal!
• A commission headed by Lou Dobbs certifies that the above conditions are FULLY met even if it means a constitutional amendment!

When the above occurs I would grant a final “Amnesty” to all illegal aliens who are living here and are law abiding. This would not be termed “earned citizenship” as it is not earned! This is an act of mercy! Such an act is in line with our principles so long as it is the LAST amnesty to be granted. Americans don’t like “amnesty” being called “earned citizenship”. We are a nation of laws. I will agree with Bush on one thing. George Bush said,

“Family values do not end when you cross the southern border. If you are a Mexican and you are hungry and you know you can feed your family by going north then you will do so”.

I agree but we cannot be the solution for the Roman Catholic Church’s policies against birth control. Mexico is a sovereign nation and must solve her own problems! However I will state that I have close daily contact with these illegal aliens and they are very good people. But we simply cannot continue to allow our nation to be invaded, even if it is for humanitarian reasons. Let’s seal our borders Lou Dobbs style (no more BS) and force corporations to obey the law then I would be open for a Regan style “Amnesty” as long as it is called for what it is. Doing that would be consistent with a nation of laws and charity. I urge my readers not to confuse the push for bilingualism by the PC crowd and Corporate America with the sad plight of decent but illegal Mexican immigrants.  But are laws must be obeyed first and the border secured as per Lou Dobbs not the weak methods of George Bush and Ted Kennedy.

This blog is by a pro-middle class NON-PC Liberal Democrat! I am both against the Iraq War but for pre-emptive strikes to stop the spread of nuclear weapons. My point is that I am not a “knee-jerk” liberal. If you read some of my posts I sound like a neo-con then rant against the corporations in other posts. The old orthodoxy of PC liberalism will not work in 21st century America. I believe most Middle Class Americans are sick and tired of:

1. Receiving official voting information from the Board of Elections that is written in Spanish, Chinese, Russian and God knows what else. If you cannot understand English you have no right to vote in America. Pure and simple!

2. Calling a company or using an ATM and being told to press “1” for English, “2” for Spanish. This is America! My grand parents had to learn English and I want to treat newcomers the same way! Learn English!

I do not however blame the Mexicans for this corruption of our culture! Rather it is a inherit part of our capitalist system! The fault lies with companies. The very same CUT AND RUN CAPITALISTS who ship our jobs to foreign lands and change their identity from being an “American” Company to “Multinational”. These same CUT AND RUN CAPITALISTS now sing their own “Corporate Internationale”, ignoring the nation and society that gave them incorporation, protection, succor and profits! These modern day Iscariots are the ones who clog our airwaves and ATM’s with bi-lingualism! Do not blame the Mexican laborer for this. I believe most Mexican laborers even practice a higher rate of assimilation then my own Italian ancestors to this nation. The attack on English comes from the effete snobs of corporate America and other Hispanic lobbies who don’t even represent the majority of Hispanic-Americans.

Hillary Clinton, who backs the H1-b Visa program that is decimating the dreams of America’s technology graduates, now has thrown her support to licensing illegal aliens. What is it about some in my party that they are like moths drawn to fire. The fire of political suicide! The only saving grace is that George Bush has left our borders wide open and placed us in this situation!

The time has come for America’s Silent Majority, our great Middle Class, to stand up and take our nation back from these effete snobs of corporate America and those on their special interest payroll in both the Republican and Democratic parties. Hillary Clinton wake up!

Back during the Vietnam War when the Republicans seduced many American Unions to support them, college students where being beaten up by construction workers and Teamsters where all for the Republican Party! Well where is their loyalty to you now? Construction jobs are now being filled by illegal Mexican workers and now Bush and his fellow travelers in Corporate America have opened our roads, like our borders, to a new invasion! They are undermining of our economic independence and the lives of American middle class workers by giving Mexican truckers free reign over our highways.

Some will argue that the trucks have mechanical flaws and are unsafe. I say who cares even if that issue is addressed! The real issue is Bush and his fellow travelers destroying the American Middle Class. Their intention is to lower the wage scale of Americans engaged in construction and transportation.

What’s that you say? These folks should go to college! Well let’s not forget that both Bush and Hillary Clinton are on the payroll of the new “Collectivists”! That is to say “Corporate America”! With the H1-B Visa program running full scale, the employment situation is worsening for computer and technological jobs!

Hillary Clinton seems to believe that America’s only choice is to “Off Shore” American jobs or to “save” these jobs by increasing the H1-B Visa program. Great choice Hillary! Last March the Wall Street Journal said that more professional jobs can be off shored such as accountants, financial analysts, graphic artists, medical and more! What employment categories are going to be left for the American Middle Class? Can you fry a cheese burger?

As Mexican trucks roll over our open borders we can only wonder how many drugs, illegal aliens and possibly even a terrorist dirty bomb will now be infiltrating our Homeland! Let’s stop the bull shit of calling those who oppose illegal immigration, “racist”! We are a sovereign nation and have the right to our borders and laws! I don’t blame the illegal aliens for wanting a better life!

Rather I blame the Corporate Collectivists who want to undermine the American middle class and make us work for bread crumbs without even pensions or health insurance. As if these are evils that make us “uncompetitive” in the world economy! If the issue is purely the economic price of goods, you cannot compete against the costs of slavery! We need “Fair Trade” not “Free Trade”. These neo-collectivists of the corporate world, these CUT AND RUN CAPITALISTS who run from the nation that gave them succor, incorporation and profits must now be FORCED to behave in a socially responsible manner to the nation that gave them existence!

The time has come for the Silent Majority: America’s great Middle Class to stand up and say “No”! Not just for ourselves but for the poor of America who also yearn to become middle class!

Governor Schwarzenegger made some interesting remarks concerning assimilation and the learning of English. While many are taking sides with his remarks, I caught something in his remarks that the news media bypassed. In order to guarantee that I heard his remarks correctly I went to his official site! I copied and pasted this quote from his controversial speech directly from his official site. Read the quote all the way to the end! Everyone is only catching the first part.

“You’ve got to learn English. You’ve got to listen-I know this sounds odd, and this is politically not the correct thing to say, but here I am, getting myself into trouble. But I know, I know that when I came to this country, I did not, or very rarely, spoke German to anyone. Not that I didn’t like Austria, my heart was always in Austria, but I wanted to as quickly as possible learn the English language”.

Notice he says his “HEART WAS ALWAYS IN AUSTRIA”! Me thinks I smell the foul odor of Sauerkraut!

The Governor retained his Austrian Citizenship. Also he has been accused of not joining in the public saying of the Pledge Of Allegiance at Ronald Regan’s funeral. It was reported that even Margaret Thatcher, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, joined in saying the pledge! Apparently Gov. Schwarzenegger learned to speak our language but has trouble with saying the Pledge Of Allegiance. Makes you wonder where his heart is! We should end not only bilingualism but dual citizenships!

In this era of Cut and Run Corporations that off shore our jobs and technology, the last thing we need is the bilingualism of illegal aliens and dual citizenships for the upper class. The time has come for America’s Silent Majority, our great Middle Class (and those who aspire to be) to take our nation back from these effete snobs! God Bless America!

I am a Non-PC Liberal Lou Dobbs style Democrat. But I disagree with most of my party’s candidates as expressed in the recent debate! What is the problem with standing up for our language and culture? I am sick and tired of calling a company and hearing “press 1 for English and 2 for Spanish”. Would I get the same treatment in Mexico? I am sick of the RACIST attitudes of some of my party’s political elites! No I don’t want to ship the illegal aliens back to Mexico and Latin America but we are a nation of laws. It is RACIST to give these people preferential treatment over the millions who are waiting in line legally to enter this country.

Look at the hypocrisy of the Democratic Party presidential candidates. With the exception of former Alaska Senator Gravel none would raise their hand to support making English the official language! Yet these very same people along with George Bush talk about “Comprehensive Immigration Reform”!

One of the provisions of their proposed law is that the illegal aliens would have to learn English. Yet Hillary Clinton went on to state that she voted to make English the “national” language as opposed to the “official” language because if English was the “official” language then cities and states would not be able to print up ballots in various languages! But wait I thought it was the law that to be naturalized you have to speak and write English? This demonstrates how serious the Democrats and their friend George Bush are in demanding that new citizens learn English. I guess it also demonstrates how dedicated they are in securing our borders and enforcing laws against hiring only qualified residents of the U.S.A.

What right does a person have to vote in our nation’s elections if they cannot participate in learning the issues by understanding English! Consider the following for one moment!

Gibberish you say? Well if that is what our language is to a potential voter then they have no right to vote. If you cannot take the time and effort to join our society then you should not participate in our elections even if you do pay taxes!

Please note I do not blame the illegal aliens here for imposing Spanish on us. This is the work of Corporate America and the PC crowd! Actually if these illegal immigrants would assimilate and we had REAL border security I would be inclined to consider some type of “Comprehensive Illegal Alien Assimilation Act”! But this would have to include provisions to make them the last wave of illegal aliens. Such as:

• A complete wall along our southern border.
• Usage of the Army to patrol our borders not just the border patrol.
• The elimination of “anchor baby laws” for future waves of illegal aliens.
• A severe crackdown and enforcement against companies, both small and large, that hire illegal aliens.
• Monitoring of airports and temporary visa entrants who try to over stay.
• Funding for the learning of English and American Culture.

I don’t want to hurt these people but I want to make sure that those who obey our laws are not punished for going through the proper channels and that the wage scale of Americans is not lowered by future illegal waves of aliens. Actually I believe most of those who came here, will in a generation become solid members of our middle class!

But the social engineering experiments of the Roman Catholic Church will have to come to an end. If they want to prohibit birth control in Latin America this nation is not going to be victim of their prohibitions. Let the Roman Catholic Church deal in Latin America with the consequences of it’s teachings not the American Middle Class! Most Roman Catholics who are born here practice birth control. This is not anti-catholic. We simply cannot be the dumping ground of Vatican interference in human lives! Nor can we allow our nation to become a victim of its own corporations. With their endless evasions of paying taxes and hiring people off the books is it any wonder we are in the situation we are today in America?

The time has come for Middle Class America to stand up and say “NO” to this Politically Correct brand of RACISM!

As the American middle class watches its high tech jobs shipped overseas and foreign H1-B Visa workers imported to lower the remaining tech job salaries, let us pause for a moment to salute yet another in the sea of CUT AND RUN CAPITALISTS! Halliburton is sending its CEO to the United Arab Emirates! Why not take Dick Cheney with them but keep American manufacturing and high tech jobs here!

Why is it that loyal American union members refrain from celebrating May Day as we don’t want to place our economic class before our nation? Yet George Bush and his fellow travelers place the interests of their economic class above the national interest. They undermine the American Middle Class dream all while singing their “Corporate Internationale”! Yet American middle class employees are judged by corporate America in how well they can subvert their “Individualism” to the “Corporate Collective”! As we learned last year Bush and his fellow travelers said the hell with Port Security! They prefer PORTFOLIO SECURTIY! Isn’t it amazing that Halliburton has located it’s CEO in the United Arab Emirates! Maybe we can outsource our Border Security to the United Arab Emirates with a “Camel Corp” to patrol the Arizona and New Mexico border with Mexico! It can be lead by a gun toting, camel riding Dick Cheney!

Remember the Vietnam War when construction workers were cozying up to Nixon and the Republicans? Well look at the loyalty that the republicans are now showing construction workers now! Our national borders are wide open while wages for construction trades are being driven down by illegal aliens! No I am not against these people who are only looking to better their lives. But America has a right to its borders and self-determination!

It is not jut the construction, meat packing and warehouse trades that are being effected! We have been told that education is the wave of the future. Yet these advocates of the free market are tinkering with the markets in our Homeland all to benefit their economic class while the Middle Class dream is being eroded! They are practicing government intervention in the free market of the United States by:

• Non-enforcement of immigration laws!
• Flooding the high tech field with H1-B visa workers from foreign lands.
• Finally these effete snobs of the corporate elite whine that less college students want to take up difficult subjects like computer science. After they undermine the American dream they then lecture us how “Atas Shrugged”!

When will the middle class demand responsibility from our government? The time has come for America’s Silent Majority to stand up for the rights of the “Individual” in this era of Corporate Collectivism!
