My God today I saw even FOX NEWS doing full coverage of Michael Jackson’s Memorial Service! Well I am fed up of this constant coverage! Does anyone realize North Korea is making nukes and shooting missiles over the Pacific? ENOUGH OF MICHAEL JACKSON – GOD DAMN IT!

As one person said, why don’t we cover the funerals of great men like Jonas Salk who invented the Polio vaccine and saved not only countless lives but also spared people from becoming invalids as my poor recently departed cousin. She was one of the last people to be crippled by polio.

Yes I realize Michael Jackson made a great contribution to music and as Carl Jung said all people have a “Shadow”. Michael Jackson showed us you can be rich and successful but still haunted by trouble! I am not writing this post against him but rather the overdone coverage of his death. My God this nation is going to pay it’s “Karma” for our obsession with celebrities as we will be subject to every whim and detail of the coming lawsuits concerning his estate! No I don’t want to hear anymore! Especially the extensive coverage!

One exception I will take with his critics is from Rush Limbaugh.

You know the head of the Republican Party! Well the leader of the Republican Party “prescribed” (oops bad word) a solution to the over coverage of Michael Jackson’s funeral. He said why don’t we cover the fallen heroes of the Iraq War?

Well maybe if Rush Limbaugh were to pay attention he would realize that former President Bush ordered that there was to be no such coverage of the arrival of the remains of fallen Iraqi Veterans!

Cannot we just get back to solving the world’s problems and turn the dial away from Michael Jackson? Really I am a European style Social Democrat not a Conservative. But I have had it with being “politically correct”! I have had ENOUGH of the constant coverage of Michael Jackson!

I am a proud liberal and a “Social Democrat”. I have no problem with the phrase “European Socialism”. Well the only problem I have with it is that we don’t have enough of it here in the United States. With that said let me state that I am glad that the Supreme Court has ruled against Judge Sotomoyer and has ended the reverse discrimination against the White and Latino fire fighters.

One of those fire fighters is dyslectic and he even hired someone to read to him so he could score high on the test. I have no problem with fining and jailing those who practice racial discrimination. But I do not believe the answer is to discriminate against innocent Whites. Yes I am a liberal! The time has come for my fellow liberals to act from positive compassion not from a masochistic “GUILT TRIP”!

Thank God the Supreme Court has ruled this way else the Republicans would have one more weapon to add to their arsenal of fear! It is bad enough that the Republicans are smearing President Obama by saying he is not tough enough on Iran! These are the same people who said that our differences end at the shore line and that we should “support our President and stand as one people in the area of foreign affairs”. I guess that only applies when we have a Republican as President.

None the less we liberals must learn not to play “masochist”. By practicing “reverse discrimination” we would not only undermine our party’s future but the first African – American President’s re-election prospects! Over the last few years I have noticed more and more of my fellow liberal Democrats not falling for the old Republican tricks.

Our nation needs to follow a new agenda:

• Repeal of the Bush and hopefully even Reagan Tax Cuts that favored the wealthy.

• Universal Health Care.

• Fighing the influence of K-Street in our Government.

• The “Greening of America” with less emphasis on fossil fuels and less dependance on oil.

• Forcing the CORPORATE COLLECTIVES (corporations) to humanize in this 21^st Century.

• Extend annual vacations, as in Germany, to 11 weeks per year!

• Ending the nonsense that someone is entitled to earn millions per year while the middle class must scrape for an existence!

To achieve these ends we must not fall into the masochistic traps that liberals have been baited into before by Republicans. The stakes are just to high!

Well before we all start laughing at Joe Biden and his comments about swine flue, does anyone remember the TB scare we had two years ago! Remember the scare about being in the same plane with someone who had TB? In the current crises concerning the swine flu virus we have been told that airplanes have special “air filters” that can screen out bacteria and viruses! Well a virus is extremely small in comparison to a TB bacteria. Yet there were concerns about people flying in a plane where the issue was not the tiny virus but the much larger bacteria! This does not add up. Below is a clip from the Rachel Maddow Show concerning the then crisis about the passenger on the plane who had TB.

I am a Liberal Democrat but not an PC Orthodox one. I wonder if Rachel Maddow (a fellow liberal) has as much zeal now to attack the CBC now that we have a Democratic Administration.  You will note her strong advocacy for defending America from allowing diseases to cross our open borders! In the above case it was a returning American from Italy. I wonder why that isn’t Anti-Italian? Oh dear I am not being politically correct! Yes dear viewer I am a rabid anti-corporate leftie liberal but I am also for the pursuit of TRUTH no matter where that takes me. Well this liberal Euro style Social Democrat does not believe in the orthodoxy of corporate greed nor the masochistic “I hate America” political orthodoxy of the politically correct. Just think of the dilemma of some of my liberal friends when the issue turns to Afghanistan! Now for the advantage of getting re-elected the Afghan President has pushed a law that sets back the rights of woman in his country. True the law only effects the Shiite section not the larger Sunni section of Afghanistan.

My anti-Bush credentials are impeccable. Just read this blog and you can see that for yourself. But I do enjoy showing my fellow liberals their tendency to create a new orthodoxy.

Just what is a politically correct liberal to do in the case of this set back in Afghanistan? On the one hand they do love to blame America for all the world’s troubles. Well then not everything is the fault of America there is also that nasty nasty religion, you know “Christianity!” Ah yes they actually advocate “having dominion over the earth”, as stated in the Book of Genesis! After all Islam is a religion of “peeeeeeece” which is the mantra of the politically correct.

I know, I know, I know the Muslims did not generate the disparaging of woman they LEARNED IT FROM US CHRISTIANS! Yes that’s it! – Wrong!

Now we have been told that we are not going to get involved in “nation building”. So we will hold our noses and fight in Afghanistan and fight for our national interests like we did in Vietnam. George Bush, I am afraid to say, actually learned the lessons of Vietnam and tried to insure that if we fought in the third world we would not back some one like General Ky whom we backed in Vietnam. But that also has it’s problems as we have learned.

Yes I am for pulling out of Iraq and was only for removing Saddam Hussein not the nation building that followed. George Bush slowly realized he could not do it and our model of democracy in Iraq slowly was lowered.

But my point is this! What are we to do in Afghanistan? Should we blame this new law on Bush? No we really cannot since he is out of office. Maybe we should adapt the liberal idea of CULTURAL RELATIVISM in relation to the Muslim treatment of woman! You know the idea that right is not right and is only due to our stupid American ethno-centricism! “Bad, Bad Bad American”!

As I said I am a liberal Euro style Social Democrat. So don’t try to rationalize your cognitive dissonance between liberal ideals on the one hand and the masochistic blame America philosophy of the politically correct for everything on the other. Sometimes the Republicans do have it right. There are people out there in this world who do not care what type of “karma” they generate. North Korea and Iran’s leaders are among them!

We are fighting EVIL in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Not to mention Iran and North Korea! China and Russia are not that cool either. We could see one of our cities go up into a mushroom cloud because we did not take Decisive action! Oh dear but that would be like “having dominion” and we liberals would love so much better to live and wallow in guilt being “reactors” rather than proactive in world affairs!

Yes there is an axis of evil! No I do not believe in Satan but I do believe in fighting what is evil! I am proud that our nation has, as yes Donald Rumsfield said, “Shock and awe military technology”. I am not ashamed that my nation has it and I don’t want others to have it.

We need to take out Al Qaeda! I believe in the Bush Doctrine (OH MOTHER GODDESS FORGIVE ME!) but Bush misapplied his own doctrine by wasting Americas’s resources by “staying “ in Iraq. We need to:

1. Use our superior technology to wipe out Al Qaeda.
2. Allow COVERT CIA operations to take out the beloved leader in North Korea. (What you want them to have nukes and a second Korean War).
3. Stop the Cut and Run Capitalists from selling our military technology to America’s enemies!
4. Pressure Afghanistan to liberalize their laws.

The time to be decisive is now! America does not need the Republicans to be the torch holders of defending American Values! If we liberals do not then the Republicans will regain their prestige with the American people and our nation will never enjoy the fruits of a American stlye Euro economy!

Well finally it seems that some in our government are not going to play word games! Military Judge Susan Crawford prevented the prosecution of one terrorist because he was tortured. Also the new incoming Attorney General, Eric Holder has stated before Congress that “Water boarding is torture indeed”! Hey does anyone remember the self righteous Republicans ranting on Bill Clinton because he used word games to not take responsibility for his having sex with Monica Lewinsky? True Bill Clinton was wrong. But I have noticed something about Presidents who screw up. They either screw around with their marriages or they remain faithful to their wives but screw up their Constitutional Oath to the nation! Remember Richard Nixon!

Carl Jung had an interesting theory. He called it “The Shadow”. We like to pretend we live in a world of light or idealism! The “flying boy” is one such myth that Jungians frequently use to illustrate how we don’t always want to accept that sometimes idealism doesn’t always serve us fully. We also like to point out other’s shadows but not our own. In a society that prides itself on “convenience”,

• Where sex without the “ideal’ of immediate marriage is rationally tolerated,
• Where the “convenience of abortion” is rationally accepted over the burden of idealistic pro-life theology or the diminution of hedonistic pleasure by wearing a condom we have a dilemma! No I am not against abortion but only trying to bring it out of the Jungian Shadow and demonstrate we can live with “cognitive dissonance“! <Read further>

That dilema is the “Ticking Bomb” scenario as presented by Allan Dershowitz! How do we deal with the fact that terrorists may soon have the capability of inflicting a plague on our nation or a nuclear catastrophe? Liberal lawyer Allan Dershowitz has advocated the usage of “Torture Warrants” in such cases. However to do so would then bring out into the light of day the fact that every nation will use torture under some circumstance and we would prefer not to lower our ideals! ISSUE: It is argued that using torture would subject our troops to the same practice!

ANSWER: The restricted usage would only be against terrorists who are about to cause massive civilian deaths not enemy troops engaged in combat. Besides just look at the beheadings that terrorists have done against innocent civilians! When faced with massive deaths shouldn’t we have the “CONVENIENCE” of extracting needed information even if it cannot be used to prosecute? In such a scenario it is lives that we value not conviction. Yes it will create “cognitive dissonance” between our behavior and our ideals but we value the “convenience” that abortion gives us! No I am not against abortion I am just trying to make us face our own cultural “Shadows”! Sure when it comes to torture, we can say “where will it end” but as a supporter of abortion I don’t seem to have a problem with “when will it end” now do I. Oh my God can you believe I said that!

ISSUE: Why not have such “Torture Warrants” issued by a “Committee For Public Safety” as the beheadings were sanctioned in the French Revolution?

ANSWER: This is a danger. Life is full of dangers. We had the “Reichstag Fire” and the resulting “Enabling Act” that justified Hitler’s rise to power. We live in an imperfect world! I like Allan Dershowitz’s answer! He wants it out in the public. That would “Jungian De-Shadowize” the issue. The Warrant would have to meet the ticking bomb criteria, made public and signed by the Chief Justice and the President!

One reason why Republicans and Conservatives get away with all the things they do is that Liberals frequently “surrender” the issue of patriotism and national security to Conservatives and Republicans! In the prior election however this was not the case we finally cleaned up our act. We separated the issue of the current war from the issue of national security! None the less you can count on my fellow liberals who love to go on masochistic binges by defending stupid behavior! But then again if more guys purchased a Trojan and “suffered” the inconvenience (oops bad word “inconvenience”) of some diminution of sexual pleasure then there would be less children born out of wedlock and/or less abortions! If more woman insisted on this then there would be less need of the “convenience” of an abortion! But let’s not deal with “our Jungian Shadows as liberals, but point with self righteous indignation instead at the Republicans!

I really enjoy watching Keith Olbermann but I wish he would demonstrate some of that notorious “liberal toleration” for Christianity! Make no mistake about it religion can some times go on a “masochistic binge”. Keith Olbermann and many PC Liberals seem to automatically attribute hatred and bigotry to Christianity while turning their backs on the death camps of Stalin, Hitler and Mao. Please you don’t have to tell me that the above are not representative of all atheists. I know that. My point is why not give Christians the same respect. The date that Christmas was in the summer is not news to me. When I was just a young boy we attended the NYC Planetarium and they said the same thing about a conjunction of planets occurring in the late spring or early summer. December 25th was latter chosen to compete with the local pagan celebrations. Indeed some Christians (our own pilgrims) refuse to reconize Christmas. My point is that this astronomer’s statement is old hat.

Recently Keith Olbermann had a skit on that made fun of Jesus. I enjoy seeing clerics being made fun of but I resent when the figure is Jesus Christ.

I wonder if he would place a similar comedy skit on concerning Mohammad? Yet fundamentalist Islam is far more condemning of Gays today than even Baptists! I believe the masochism that is displayed in Christianity sometimes is not inherently Christianity but something I have termed in my other website as “Original Masochism”. But looked what happened!  Their prediction of that oil production would be sliced in half by 1980 and the earth would face massive population decreases just did not occur. I remeber durning the first Earth Day we read “The Population Bomb” as if it were the new “Scripture” predicting the doom of a decadent bourgeoisie middle class world!

Politically correct liberalism, like fundamentalist Christianity is one MASSIVE GUILT TRIP! But instead of guilt from being the descendants of Adam and Eve with the apple it is “guilt by being a middle class American. OH MOTHER GODDESS CAN YOU BELIEVE I SAID THAT! Both sides would rather relish in masochistic powerlessness rather than deal realistically with the world’s problems.

Thank God Obama kept the Democrats’s masochistic tendencies in check else we would have lost the elections as the Republicans always seize on that! While I am a Liberal Democrat and fully support Barrack Obama, I am somewhat amused that John McCain has “harnessed” the winds of “Political Correctness” to reduce Barrack Obama’s lead in the polls! But the time has come to FIGHT! Damn finally the Democrats are using the term “Middle Class” like Nixon appropriated the term “Silent Majority”! But that is only the start. The disparity in incomes must be advertised! Obama should make McCain be the responder!  SEIZE the initiative Obama or you will Kerry away!

In this era of licentious permissiveness when corporations can shed their American identity, becoming Multi-nationals, even moving their headquarters to remote islands so as to avoid their share of taxes to the nation that gave them birth, succor, protection and profits, America’s Silent Majority – our great Middle Class demand an end to profits without responsibilty! Stand up for America! Stand up for Social Responsibility for Corporations least we become victims to the new “COLLECTIVISM” which is to say “Corporations”! When Corporate Collectivists get more power Individual Freedom is diminished! Time for Barrack Obama to kick ass!

We hear the whine from these wild eyed advocates of the Neo-con SOCIAL ENGINEERING EXPERIMENT in Iraq that the Democrats are against our troops! These bleeding hearts of appeasement to Corporate America that continues to trade with Iran, while that nation sends supplies to kill our brave troops, do not even have faith in our troops! When Democrats point out that this is a civil war and that much of the recent reduction in violence was the result of low level diplomatic talks with Sunni Militias to have them switch sides, the Republicans then said that the Democrats where trying to demean our troops. Apparently it is alright for Halliburton to have a subsidiary in Iran while it profits from the War in Iraq and General Electric was not stopped when they sold valuable technology to Iran! The type of “talking” that benefits the effete snobs of the “Corporate Class” is perfectly permissible to John McCain and his mentor George Bush!

The time has come for America’s Silent Majority, our Middle Class to stand up and say NO to those who say politics ends at our shores but corporate profits do not!

Barrack Obama said today that our children should learn to speak Spanish! Well why not my grandparent’s language which was Italian? Why the racism that puts Spanish over my grand parent’s native “Italian? My grandparents insisted that no one should learn Italian until the fourth generation as our family would then have been totally assimilated! I am sick and tired of the RACISM that every American is subjected to when we use an ATM machine.

I remember when Hilary Clinton was considered the inevitable candidate to win. However the issue of then NY Governor Spitzer’s desire to grant driving licenses to illegal aliens came up in the debate! Hillary Clinton did the classic double speak and she went downward from that movement forward. I believe Barrack Obama has meet his Waterloo if Republicans sieze on this! But then again John McCain wants to fight a one hundred year war while our borders remain wide open and his corporate friends profit from cheap labor!

I do not blame the ILLEGAL ALIENS in our midst for this bi-lingual crisis. The problem lies with an unholy coalition of business interests, some Hispanic political groups and the Roman Catholic Church. I would even grant illegal aliens amnesty so long as:

1. It is called that and not “earned citizenship” as it is not earned when my family in Italy has to wait while these illegal’s cross and break our laws doing so!
2. The borders are locked down and certified as such by a committee headed by Lou Dobbs!
3. Those who hire illegal aliens are prosecuted!
4. English is declared the “Official” language of the United States with special status accorded to Native American Languages!
5. No ballots are printed in any language other than English and no one would be eligible to take the naturalization oath until they can read, write and speak fluent English!

I believe Americans demand an end to the racism that propagates this bilingualism over the culture of other ethnic groups that have come to this country! Senator Obama had better wake up and stop this elitism! He has shown great promise now he seems to be undermining his candidacy! By the way I am a liberal Democrat who was first for John Edwards then for Barrack Obama! But I am 100% percent against “politically correct liberalism”! Senator Obama’s statements give me pause to reconsider supporting him!

The time has come for America’s Silent Majority to stand up and take our nation back from these effete snobs of PC Liberalism on one side and Corporate Collectivist Republicans on the other!

Dr. Jeffrey Young created a form of Cognitive Therapy that utilizes a concept called “Schema”. This is in my opinion a sort of “VIRUS OF THE SOUL”. Now you may be asking what does this have to do with the political process we are facing today! Dr. Young lists about a dozen schemas but the one that is relevant to us today is the “Alienation/Social Isolation” Schema. Like a virus the “schema” hijacks aspects of the host. In this case the individual’s libido and mind to perpetuate the schema! Similar to what some other therapists termed “Behavioral Trans-generational Migration Patterns”.

My own Democratic Party “sometimes” becomes a festering ground for this Virus of the Soul in several ways:

1. Hillary Clinton’s behavior toward winning the nomination: The hell with the popular vote! Full speed ahead for the 2012 Election! Damage Obama so bad he cannot win the general election. This compounded by some who take this as a racial thing! Hell no it is just pure SELFISHNESS on the part of Hillary Clinton. She would do the same thing regardless of the candidate! She supported NAFTA and still supports “H1-b” that destroyed the technology job market! The payoff is we can all feel alienated!
2. Promoting masochistic self hate of America with PC Collective Guilt: Especially among people who rose above the religious collective guilt of Adam and Eve. Having rejected “Apple Theodicy” these very same folks now embrace the PC theory that “America is always wrong”. No that does not mean some things aren’t wrong with our society! It is the masochistic zeal that these PC Liberals, who renounce the Adam and Eve theory of collective guilt, now substitute being white, middle class and Oh My Mother Goddess, “Male” for Apple Theodicy! The idea of trying to improve things is completely vacant. Instead the joys of Masochistic hatred of America are glorified then they wonder why they loose elections to right wingers who covert the center!
3. Jeremiah Wright and the wimpy reaction to his speach: His behavior shows no concern for his so-called “friend” Barrack Obama who is running for the highest office in the land! Oh yes we hear that short sound bytes should not be used to judge a person’s whole career. Well imagine if John McCain were to use the “N” word just once or twice! What is so hard for Pastor Wright to say “look I am sorry forgive an old man who got stuck in a prior era”. Hell I would then even say let him back in Obama’s campaign! We all have a right to a “Mu-tack-a Moment” now don’t we? Listen to the video by Pastor Wright. Ask yourself what kind of friend could he be to Barrack Obama to not recant this? His speech glorifies being a victim! Not to mention racist statements.

Alienation is perpetuated by Pastor Wright’s speech and the lack of forceful repudiation by Obama and the Democrats. Yes I am an Obama supporter and a liberal. Just not a PC Liberal! While Dr. Young may never have thought his concept could be applied to politics, I believe it can, especially one of his concepts called “schema maintenance”. In the video above we witness “schema maintenance” at work! Note some things Pastor Wright says may have truth, but that is how schema maintenance works. The payoff is helplessness, ALIENATION and the protection of the status quo even though such is being argued against by the Reverend!

Let me add a “Transactional Analysis” footnote to the “Alienation Schema Maintenance Behavior” of both Pastor Wright, and the tepid response by Barrack Obama and many Democrats! That footnote is that the behavior of all of the above players could cause the defeat of Obama in the general election or even at the party convention! Ah yes but then we would be “Entitled” to cash in our Politically Correct TRADING STAMPS and engage in payoff game of “Ain’t It Awful” and “Wooden Leg“! Maybe nobody noticed but we have a war raging and the opportunity to elect either a Black or Female President! While I don’t believe race or gender automatically entitles one to be President it would be a nice moment in our history! So Barrack should cut loose from his so-called friend and not get caught up in this “Schema” of Alienation! Else he will be drinking “Bitter Beer”!

In conclusion we Democrats practice the schema maintenance of “alienation” and bitter beer drinking with our

• Use of the DENIAL MECHANISM rather than face dealing with Pastor Wright’s anti-patriotic and even racist statements!
• Then not Moving on to the real issues that face voters! Instead this campaign is turning off voters initial enthusiasm! Rush Limbaugh is laughing!

The Silent Majority must stand up and demand an end to this! We need to take our nation back from the effete snobs of Corporate America who do not want us to have job security and Universal Health Care!
