I waited before I wrote about this as i am a Progressive. But I have to agree with Gov. Chris Christie that Obama is indeed a bystander in the White House. As a member of the 99% I urge my fellow Progressives not to get caught up in defending Obama when a right wing nut job makes an attack on him. If Obama believes that allowing a bully to kick sand in your face is fine thenl I hope Republians kick even more sand in the wimp’s face. We need to look elsewhere for a new leader like Senator Bernie Sanders. Below Dylan Ratigan discusses Chris Christie’s charge about Obama as a bystander in the oval office.

Progressives must make a pivotal decision
Barrack Obama OR “Change We Can Believe In”! Barrack Obama is no longer an advocate of “Change We Can Believe In”. That cause has been taken up by the patriots of the Occupy Wall Street Movement!
Chris Christie has accused President Obama of being a “bystander in the Oval Office”! While as a Progressive Social Democrat I want to puke at the sight of Gov. Chris Christie I believe he has a point. Yes I realize that some Democrats may still linger with those feeling that we had when Obama was elected but let’s face it he is a wimp!
Objection:
But how can you say that poor Obama has faced such racism and insane opposition from the Repbulicans and Tea Party clowns that we should all rally around him!
My Answer:
Horse-shit! Sure the Republicans did every rotten thing imaginable but what has this wimp done back? Meow….Meow…MEOW! I would back Obama to the fullest even if he did not get one bill passed. The issue is he has not used the power of the presidental bully pulpit and has allowed right wing mythologies about economics to become fixated in the American psyche!
If Obama had gone on an FDR crusasde against “organized money” and the “economic royalists” to use FDR style terminology, then I would back Obama all the way.
Change We Can Believe In
To have meaningfull change a president must use his authority and become the “preacher in chief” as did FDR, JFK and yes even Ronald Reagan. Even if Obama did not have one law passed he would unleash an emotional force in the psyche of the American electorate that would eventually force change we can believe in. Even if it were not in Obama’s presidency. His legacy would be this sweeping force.
But instead all we have is a pathetic testosterone deficient “MEOW” from Obama.
Obama has gone on his daring mission to take a huge electoral mandate with the inherent power of the presidential bully pulpit, to shape our nation dialog, to become a role model of testosterone deficiency and brazen impotency! I have advanced several separate reasons for his actions over the last year. I will list them below but basically they can all be summed up in one word.
Obama is a “wimp”! Accept it and move on!
So let’s break our identification with him and renew our commitment to “Change We Can Believe In”!
These are my reasons for Obama being a bystander and agreeing with Gov. Chris Christie that Obama is a “bystander in the oval office”! I believe both are correct.
- Barrack Obama is a follower of Dr. Carl Rogers! and his “person centered approach” that calls not for “leaders” but rather “facilitators”! As I pointed out in prior posts a “person centered approach” does not work when those “persons” are corporations!
- Barrack Obama is “playing progressive” but inside the money walled confines of the “corporate sandbox“! Examples are that he invites representatives of the heath insurance industry to negotiations on the issue of Health Care Reform. Really what should a few CEO’s and managers have the time of the nation’s chef executive in a nation of over 300 million? Answer because they can forcefully make you and every American contribute to their political agenda via the premiums they charge for our health care. Especially since corporations are now persons!
- Again we can sum it up best in this third choice, which is a combination of the above two.
Obama is just a pussy, worsey, limp wristed, mealy mouth, pathetic, testosterone challenged WIMP who needs a testosterone injection from Rep. Barney Frank!
Obama will use your pain for his gain. Do you doubt that? Obama just loves when the Occupy Wall Street advocates criticize him? This gives him “creditably” with the center that lost faith and frequently believes the Tea Party nonsense about how to create a job stimulus!
Obama is a bystander but he is mainly a wimp! We need Bernie Sanders For President!
