Nebraska Senator Ben Nelson is a damned hypocrite who helped kill real Health Care Reform. He whines against both abortion and government “socialism”. That is why he was against the public option! Yet he has jumped on board to give the 60th vote in the Senate in return for unique “Socialist Medicaid” concessions to his state of Nebraska while denying America the public option! – Hypocrite!
The Democrats In Congress And Obama do not need Swine Flu shots. They need TESTOSTERONE shots! Sure they can learn from the Republicans on how to be the minority party of no! To bad the Democrats did not function as the “party of NO” while the Iraq War was waging and we had control of the House of Representatives for the last two years of Bush’s presidency! We could have ended the funding for the Iraq War and shifted our attention to Al Qaeda in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Now the American people are war weary and who can blame them. It used to be we won World Wars in four years. Instead we just win Halliburton and Blackwater as parasites of our tax dollars! For God sake we have control of both Houses of Congress and the Presidency. We may not have control of both houses of Congress after the 2010 election. I don’t know who is weaker Harry Reid or President Obama! We need to go on the offensive.

While many Democrats where blowing kisses to Republicans believing this would be a new era of cooperation, the Corporate Collectivists and their minions in the Republican Party are arming for battle. Their plan is to subvert the freedom of the Individual to The new 21st Century Collectivists. No not the Soviet Collective but the Corporation! Just look at how they are waging Brown Shirt like tactics to disrupt the forces of Democracy in Town Hall Meetings around our nation! These Corporations want to make us subserviant to their agenda. When will the Democrats wake up! This War must be waged on a different battle field and with different tactics! When will Progressives and Democrats realize that this is CLASS WARFARE plain and simple! Oh dear me did you hear what I just said! Oh we don’t want to sound corrosive that may earn us some bad karma! Well I have news for my fellow liberal Democrats, the Republicans and their fellow travelers on K-Street are out to win and they don’t care what are the means to achieve that end! Do they worry about class warfare when they ship our jobs overseas?
What’s that we can train blue collar workers for computer jobs, after all technology is the wave of the future – right? Wrong! What jobs these elitists cannot ship overseas they are bringing foreign H1-b workers here legally to undermine the high technology labor market. This is not just a blue collar issue. Democrats would do well to stop talking about “labor” and start talking about “employees”. White collar employees are getting the shaft as well. (I know I was one of them).
Progressive Liberal Democrats must wage psychological warfare against the Republicans and stop being such wimps. Here are some talking points:

Demand that every employee should know at what day in the year their accumulated earnings equal the total compensation of the CEO’s first workday in the year. I bet by December 31st most would still not earn what the CEO made on January 1st.

Question who are these people to make such large amounts of money when the President of the United States, who has far more responsibility, only makes $400,000.00 per year. Their compensation is not from a “free market” but from the oligopoly of the market.

The Government should not get in the busseness of setting salaries. But the time has come to say that no one has contributed to society to such an extent that they deserve more then the President of the United States. Tax day is when these effete snobs have to check in with reality! Find a cure for cancer and maybe we can waver your taxes. But when they earn their ridiculous rate of compensation by finding ways to cut mine that does not justify them to collect such licentious rates of compensation. April 15th is the day to check in with reality!

Why should I be taxed by the Corporations to support their K-Street activities! I resent multimillionaires being allowed to make large contributions to political groups that fight Universal Health Care because they have a larger wallet then me. But that is not enough for them! Instead they have the corporation make contributions! Excuse me where does the corporation get the money to make that contribution? The corporation gets it by raising prices and/or reducing salaries to employees! Then they lecture us about “Individual freedom being subverted to serve the collective”! Stop making the middle class subsidize the agenda of the super rich!

No one is against people becoming millionaires or even billionaires! The issue is fairness! By shipping jobs overseas and linking health care to one’s job the individual is not free but subservient to the CORPORATE COLLECTIVE!

Why should insurance companies and our employers stand between us and our doctor?
Who the hell cares how much it costs! Does anyone care how much it costs the American Taxpayer when the Tobacco industry infects our youth and gets healthy red blooded Americans addicted to CANCER STICKS? Does anyone care that their idea of a “Value Added Product” is a cigarette with the addictive drug nicotine? Why does our society allow these cancer peddlers to continue to operate? This my fellow Americans is their idea of “freedom”. That is to say freedom to die in the service of the Corporation! Oh these bleeding hearts for the Corporations that want to subvert the freedom of the individual by producing cancer sticks (cigarettes) then trying to deny Americans Universal Health Care!
Did these effete snobs of privilege care when George Bush lowered the taxes on the super rich and gave us the biggest budge deficit in history all while they waged a phony war in Iraq? Yet now they wail and whine about how “our children” are going to have to pay for Universal Health Care and the economic stimulus package! No they don’t care about “our children” they fear that their children will have to pay higher taxes on the wealth that they did not earn. They fear a rise in the “inheritance tax”. Imagine poor dear Mrs. McCain with her 87 million. What leave here only half of that? Oh I would rather go without health care then to tax my social betters!
Yet this is what is going to happen unless Democrats and Progressives stand up and take our Town Halls back from these effete snobs of privilege and their intellectually challenged minions whom they send to the Town Hall meetings to disrupt.
If you are Middle Class and have “SELF RESPECT” then you must question what justifies anyone to earn more than three or four times your salary.
The time has come for America’s Silent Majority, our great Middle Class, to stand up and take our nation back from these effete snobs of privilege.
Oh poor baby Sarah Palin. Did that nasty liberal biased news media finally become too much for the “Pit bull Hockey Mummy” from Alaska? What drives me crazy about Sarah Palin is the way the news media where too scared to pursue her ties with the Alaskan independence Party and her ties with a witch hunting pastor who gave her the laying on of hands. Please note that while I am an Episcopalian I am not making fun of Pentecostals! I understand most of you reading this are not aware of Sarah Palin being a “PAL of Witch-hunters and Alaskan Secessionists”!
But then again the news media never had the guts to do follow ups on her relationship to the Alaskan Independence Party! With the exception of a few Journalists on CNN and MSNBC, Sarah Palin got a free ride with the news media. Concerning Sarah Palin’s being a pal of Secessionists, she was wrongly accused of being a “formal member” of the AIP (Alaskan Independence Party). That she was not a formal member, as it was originally alleged by some, has been taken to dismiss the entire issue of her ties to the Alaskan independence Party! Well not so fast! You see her husband was a member for seven years and she even sent a video address to their convention last year just a few months before she became the Republican nominee for Vice President. Oh poor Sarah Palin, such a martyr for the Conservative Cause! Those nasty people in the news media even asked her a question about the “Bush Doctrine”! Being the great foreign policy expert that John McCain said she is, why is such a question considered to be biased?
Yes this is Sarah Palin the one who constantly accused Barrack Obama of being a “pal of terrorists”. Yet to criticize her would result in accusations that the news media is biased! Hell this woman got a free ride! The news media never questioned her about her ties to the Alaskan Independence Party.
God imagine if Barrack Obama’s wife where a member of the Black Panthers? Imagine if Barrack Obama addressed a convention of Black separatists? The news media went on and on about the nutty Rev Wright but barely mentioned John McCain’s ties to Rev. Hagee or Rev. Parsley! But even worse was Sarah Palin and her love of a minister who conducted witch hunting in Africa! (See top video). Yet you never heard about him in the news media!

Yet now they wail and whine like babies that the upper 2% is going to have to pay more taxes. They call these people the “producers”! Hey what do these parasites do to earn more money then the President of the United States? Do they have more responsibilities than the President of the United States! The time has come for America’s producers, our great Middle Class to stop being a Silent Majority but a vocal one! Let’s take back our nation from these effete snobs of privilege!

I am a proud liberal and a “Social Democrat”. I have no problem with the phrase “European Socialism”. Well the only problem I have with it is that we don’t have enough of it here in the United States. With that said let me state that I am glad that the Supreme Court has ruled against Judge Sotomoyer and has ended the reverse discrimination against the White and Latino fire fighters.
One of those fire fighters is dyslectic and he even hired someone to read to him so he could score high on the test. I have no problem with fining and jailing those who practice racial discrimination. But I do not believe the answer is to discriminate against innocent Whites. Yes I am a liberal! The time has come for my fellow liberals to act from positive compassion not from a masochistic “GUILT TRIP”!
Thank God the Supreme Court has ruled this way else the Republicans would have one more weapon to add to their arsenal of fear! It is bad enough that the Republicans are smearing President Obama by saying he is not tough enough on Iran! These are the same people who said that our differences end at the shore line and that we should “support our President and stand as one people in the area of foreign affairs”. I guess that only applies when we have a Republican as President.
None the less we liberals must learn not to play “masochist”. By practicing “reverse discrimination” we would not only undermine our party’s future but the first African – American President’s re-election prospects! Over the last few years I have noticed more and more of my fellow liberal Democrats not falling for the old Republican tricks.
Our nation needs to follow a new agenda:

Repeal of the Bush and hopefully even Reagan Tax Cuts that favored the wealthy.

Universal Health Care.

Fighing the influence of K-Street in our Government.
-
The “Greening of America” with less emphasis on fossil fuels and less dependance on oil.

Forcing the CORPORATE COLLECTIVES (corporations) to humanize in this 21st Century.

Extend annual vacations, as in Germany, to 11 weeks per year!
-
Ending the nonsense that someone is entitled to earn millions per year while the middle class must scrape for an existence!
To achieve these ends we must not fall into the masochistic traps that liberals have been baited into before by Republicans. The stakes are just to high!
Well today we heard that Republican South Carolina Governor Sanford apparently had his own “stimulus package” to deliver to Argentina! Ah yes the party of “family values”, the party that says “No” to Gay marriage because marriage is a sacred institution. Damn dem Gays are breaking up to many marriages right Gov. Sanford?
Well now you Republicans say what about John Edwards? Well that is up to John Edwards wife but politically that he is not in the same ball park as Governor Sanford because John Edwards did not point the finger at other people and preach this self righteous krap from the religious right!
Remember the self righteous pomposity of the Republicans when our President wanted to have just a small amount of money in the budget for the distribution of Trojans to high school kids? Oh they whined and wailed. Then when the final cost of the package came out the Republicans complained that our kids would be paying the price for the stimulus package! Well maybe we should put Trojans back into the budget because our nation doesn’t need any more unwed mothers on welfare and fatherless teenage boys running around in criminal gangs. Yet this is the price that our society is going to pay for the Republicans following the Christian Right!
Hell if the Republican Governor cannot keep his zipper shut how can you expect a teenage boy?
I was on lunch break and saw Gov. Sanford’s speech. He went on an on before finally getting to the point. Folks is it only me? But since this guy was the Chairman of the Republican Governors caucus you would think he would have his apologies “after” he first told us the main event of the speech. That is to say he cheated on his wife! The reason?
Well for God’s sake this guy went on and on and I wanted to get back to work! But never mind me! Being the good family value oriented Republican Gov. Sanford is did he not have any consideration for CORPORATE AMERICA! That’s right! What about all the advertising revenue that was being lost due to his speech? If he said what he had to say upfront then the media could break away for their ads. Hell a good Republican would have consideration for CORPORATE AMERCIA!
Well what is really funny is that he mentioned that he meet his girl friend at a Bible Study! Well instead of outlawing Gay Marriage maybe we should out law Bible Study Classes as a means to preserve marriage!
No doubt at Bible Study they were discussing those awful pinko liberal Democratic Party Gay Marriage advocates! Oh yes the Republican Party – The FAMILY VALUES supporters!
